Chapter 14: Fondation Establishment Pill.

In front of a luxurious building stood Lingtian, looking at the sign in front of the gates, 'Di Fang Alchemy Shop.' This was the name of the shop and its owner.

The owner was the alchemist who had bought the Runic Fundamentals years ago. After asking around, Lingtian knew the price he paid for it was a thousand low essence crystals.

It was relatively cheap for something this rare, but the price made sense when taking into consideration the strict requirements to become a rune master. So, in this part of the region where talents who fulfilled these requirements were few and far between, the book became just something to broaden the horizon and deepen knowledge of this rare specialty. In short, it only had a collective value like art and nothing more.

Walking in, Lingtian didn't hide his cultivation. He wanted to meet the alchemist directly, so showing his Foundation Establishment realm cultivation would make things simple.

And just as he thought, a steward came to welcome him and asked for his purpose of visit.

Lingtian didn't waste time and directly asked for a meeting with Alchemist Di. His face was indifferent, and he spoke with authority, as the steward was just an eighth-stage essence gathering expert.

Over the time he spent in the city after breaking through to the Foundation Establishment realm, he was treated as a distinguished guest wherever he went. His actions and the way he conducted himself changed in the process.

He became aware of his standing in society and the weight of his strength. So, he started to act more and more like an expert. His disposition changed from a lone wolf with a cold personality to an indifferent composure fitting for his status, especially when he became a one-star formation master.

The steward bowed in respect and asked him to wait for a moment and then ran back to call his master.

"Master, a Foundation Establishment expert by the name of Gu Lingtian is asking for a meeting with you." Out of an alchemy room, the steward spoke while bowing to the door.

"Gu Lingtian? Why do I feel that this name is familiar?" a voice came from the inside of the alchemy room. A middle-aged man was sitting next to a huge cauldron, sorting out some herbs on the side.

After he heard the steward's words, he felt he had heard this name before.

"Oh right, isn't this the one-star formation master who was quite active recently? I heard that he is quite capable and skilled. Ask him to come to my office; I will be there in a minute." A few moments later, he spoke as if he remembered something.

"Yes, master." The steward responded to his master's order and left.

'This Gu Lingtian appears to be someone with talent. It will not be a bad idea to befriend him. I just hope that he isn't here for some excessive request.' Thinking to this point, Alchemist Di stood up and fixed himself before walking to his office.

Inside his office, he saw a young man sitting on the opposite seat of his desk. A Foundation Establishment realm cultivator has a lifespan of three hundred years, and after breaking through, Lingtian aged back some years and looked just like a young man, 23 or 24 years old.

He didn't look even younger because 23 years old was the age where the body stops growing and starts to age. So even if his lifespan greatly exceeded his age, this is the limit of how much he can age back.

'I knew he was young, but not this young. It appears that this Gu Lingtian isn't simple,' thought Alchemist Di in his heart before speaking.

"Formation Master Gu, welcome to my humble abode."

"Pleasure all mine, Alchemist Di." Lingtian stood up from his seat and returned the greetings.

"Brother Gu has become quite famous recently, but meeting you today makes me realize what a talented man you are." Gesturing for Lingtian to sit, Alchemist Di sat on his desk and complimented him a little.

"I didn't expect for Brother Di to know me; it's an honor." Lingtian took notice of the way he addressed him as a brother. He instantly knew that he wanted to befriend him and responded in kind.

He has no reason to not accept such a kind gesture, especially that he has something to ask, and this man was a Foundation Establishment cultivator and a one-star alchemist to boot. So it was stupid not to, especially when he has no animosity with him.

"So, what brings you to see me, Brother Gu?" A smile appeared on Alchemist Di, seeing his response to his gesture.

"I wanted to meet you for two reasons. First, I wanted to ask you if you know how I can get a Foundation Establishment pill and if you have one for sale," asked Lingtian.

"This is quite the complicated subject. Foundation Establishment pills are a valuable resource, even for the royal family, so they are hard to acquire. When they appear, they will be auctioned, and the top families will buy them nearly every time. As for asking an alchemist to make one for you, it is actually the easiest method, as the pill formula isn't a secret and quite simple. The only problem is the ingredients are really rare and hard to come by," answered Alchemist Di without reservation, as this was an open secret.

"Thanks a lot for the explanation, Brother Di. Can I ask for the names of the herbs needed?"

"No problem." Alchemist Di didn't mind as he wrote the names of the herbs on a paper, then handed it to him.

'The Red Spirit Lutes, a thousand-year-old Spirit Ginseng, a Blood Soul Fruit, and Demonic Peach Seed...' I recognize most of the herbs but have no idea how to get any of them. Well, I will look into it later. After reading the paper, Lingtian measured in his heart.

"I will remember this favor, Alchemist Di. As for my second request, I'm actually here to buy something from you. I'm quite interested in the Runic Fundamentals book that you have, and I wonder if I can buy a copy from
