81. Let the journey begin

It has been a few days since Pele and Happy returned with Abraham. When Abraham explained to Pele about mostly everything related to a vampire, the latter did not hesitate to follow Abraham. As for Happy, she did what Abraham told her, saying that she wanted to go with Abraham.

Before leaving the planet, everyone came to warn Abraham to take good care of Happy. Even Leo and Zero, having forgotten about the conversation also came to see Happy leaving. It felt like the heart of the entire settlement was leaving, some even had tears in their eyes.

Right now Abraham was sitting in front of a tv. By his side, a small boy was throwing punches at cushion fixed to the wall.

On the TV the live stream of the current commander of the military, Julius was standing covered in green blood. Behind him was an army from the military. They all looked tired. They had just finished defending against a dalki attack and were successful in eliminating the opponent. The whole event was broadcast live from Bonny and Void.

Abraham was planning to directly go to Arthur's tomb after getting Pele and Happy but a recent info from the Green couple has postponed it.

They told Abraham that they were mostly done with the demon beast detector device. That was three days ago. Based on what Tom Green told him, the device was supposed to be done today.

Abraham decided to use this available time to train his Qi and blood energy. At the same time, he spent more time with his family and supervising Quinn's training.

As for Pele, Abraham has not turned him yet. Abraham had rented a personal apartment in the settlement. It was just a few blocks away from his brother. Both Pele and Happy have got a room each.

Abraham had planned to use it for future shadow teleportation. It would be away from everyone and in a secure location. During the three days, Abraham left both Pele and Happy on their own. At no point in time did Abraham say anything or propose the blooded process to Happy.

On each occasion that Abraham visited them, Happy was drenched in sweat from her ongoing training.

The live stream on the tv continued, with Bonny doing her best to showcase the victory from the human side.

As it was a live stream, many people were commenting on it. Most of the comments were about the war, but there were still some weeb shipping their idol Bonny.

Bonny was a well-known reporter that had continued to give reliable information to the civilians and update the people living in shelters all around. But it was a job she couldn't do alone.

Many new reporters relied on gadgets like drones and such, but she liked to do her reporting the old-fashioned way, with a good old cameraman and that was Void.

Bonny was quite the beauty as a reporter. She had silky straight brown hair with a fringe that went down to her eyebrows and no further. She looked like a pop singer and also had the diva personality to go with it.

Her facial expression could change whenever she wished. On camera when it mattered, she would have the right emotional face to match, but off-screen or when needed to be, she could smile warming people's hearts.

Meanwhile, the man behind the camera never got enough credit for his work, but Void didn't have the face to be on camera either. Freckles covered his nose and were heavy under his eyes, even though he was an adult. He also had curly hair that was a nightmare to deal with.

At times like this, he didn't care and just allowed it to go wild, as long as it wouldn't block the camera lens he was fine with it.

Abraham continued to watch the tv when he heard a ringing tune and a call popup on the screen.

It was Emily Green. The large smile on her face confirmed that she brought good news. And that was confirming the construction of the demon detection device.

But that was not the only good news. The device has been successful in its goal as it has detected a demon beast on a planet. Abraham has asked the couple to do the search on the Greylash-owned planet.

From the original book, Abraham knew that there was three demon beast around the discovered planet. Two among them, Abraham knew about its locations. It was the tree demon and the crab demon. Both of them were eventually defeated by Quinn. As for the last one, it was a fire-based demon beast. Abraham neither had the exact location nor what the beast looked like. The only thing he knew was that the beast was slayed by Erin using the only current demon sword available to humans.

There was a particular reason why Abraham wanted to target the fire-based demon beast first. He wanted to test the mana drain ability again and see if it would work on a beast.

This time, he was not going to go on the planet alone. He plans to get all his blooded on board as their journey will begin with the demon beast and keep going.

"The planet is called Etna. Currently, it is marked as a red planet. Only a small part has been explored. The reason is not due to the beasts difficulties but mostly due to the hot climate and the huge number of volcanoes present. The highest volcano is ten times the size of Mount Everest. The device will help you to navigate and get to the demon beast once you are on the planet. I wish you the best of luck." With that, the call ended and the live stream resumed on the tv.

Cracking his knuckles, Abraham had a single thought in mind.
