13. Massacre

Since his return, Abraham had spent 3 days back and forth between the district and his apartment. During the day, he would do training while at night he would observe the situation of both gangs. The tally of death has reached fifteen in total. The wolf gang was currently winning. Among the dead, most of them were non-ability users. Now, with ability individuals remaining, the fight was going to happen at another stage.

Tonight a fight was going to happen. The Bear gang could not remain anymore idle and decided to attack the base of the wolf gang. Every member's blood was boiling to get revenge but in fact, the revenge was a pretext, as serial killers and murderers they were eager to test themselves against others like them. A battle between evil, where the most sinister would survive.

Abraham wasn't going to miss such a situation. Among evil, only a demon could make things right.

It was dark. Only a lone street lamp casts a dim, white light on the broken building. It looked as if no living being had ever set foot inside. The windows are broken, and glass was lying on the floor. One would think many times before approaching such a place but instead, more than ten individuals had entered the building. They were all members of the Bear gang. The building was situated near the base of the wolf gang and they decided to use this place to launch a large attack in one go.

Abraham was two blocks away, he had infused his sight and hearing with Qi. His super hearing from the halfling transformation and topped with Qi was able to capture the conversation among the gang member. Abraham was following group C. The bear gang had divided their personnel into three groups to launch an attack from different sides. Group C was supposed to come last.

The battle was already happening inside the base of the wolf gang and many deaths have already happened. It seem like someone from the Bear gang had the ability to pass messages from a distance as after some seconds, the leader of group C informed everyone to march forwards. Like madmen, they all started running.

Behind them, Abraham was also sprinting toward the base. He did not have to run fast when a strong smell of blood hit his nose. Abraham saw that as delicious stat point that was waiting him to be converted.

As soon as he reached the base, the system popped a message.

"It seems like the universe is helping me." Abraham thought as he had no intention of getting captured even if the system didn't have this penalty.

Abraham was welcome with bodies everywhere. It looked like the fight has already gotten inward. Just as he was going to dash inside the building, he found a movement downward. The system would reward him for every kill and not for every fight. Right now among the bodies many of them were just incapable of fighting but they were not dead. Using his blood swipe, he permanently stopped the body from moving.

Instead of searching for anyone alive, Abraham decided to just launch the attack at everybody on the ground. He heard two notifications.

[-1 Hp] due to the limitation of the Blood swipe skill and another for the number of kills. He didn't care if the body was of a wolf or bear member.

When there was a fight and someone would win, instead of finishing their opponent, they would move to another fight.

After traversing the main gate, Abraham found himself in a huge hall. In every corner, people were fighting. Abraham decided to side with the Bear gang as they were outnumbered. Abraham had also taken a Bear jacket from a body outside to be recognized as one of their own.

Nearest to him two persons were fighting with sand ability. From the recent experience, it looked like sand was the most common and easiest ability to get. The military had control over the ability and Abraham was sure that there were many corrupted men among them.

Abraham used a blood swipe from behind the wolf member instantly killing him. He gave the Bear member a thumbs up and went for the next target. The Bear member just thought that Abraham's short height compare to an adult was due to an ability.

This time Abraham saw in a room to the left of the hall, 3 wolf members fighting against 2 bear members. Without caring for anyone, Abraham just started to release blood swipe upon blood swipe.

Compared to his previous fight, his blood swipe now also contain Qi due to the merging of the Qi and blood energy. It was like Abraham was launching the third stage Qi and a blood swipe in a single attack.

Being caught off guard, all five perished. Abraham didn't need to check if they were dead or not as the system would inform him through the number of kills.

Abraham returned to the hall.

The fight had decreased to three different groups. After attacking them unprepared he was able to finish all the wolf members.

In the hall, Abraham did not kill the standing Bear member as he didn't know the situation in front.

When the fight ended, on seeing everyone in Bear's jacket, all decided to go find the next fight except Abraham. When they looked over at him, they found out that he was making sure the wolf members were surely dead.

When they were all gone, Abraham also put an end to the Bear gang member through the Qi drain. Like outside Abraham also collected blood using his Blood bank. This time it was completely full.

Most of them were level one users as only a few were level two.

Abraham moved forward and after passing the corridors and ending two more bodies' life, he took the stairs to the next floor.

When passing by a window, Abraham noticed that outside two individuals were fighting. With the damage happening around them, Abraham concluded that both must be the gang's leaders.

Abraham decided to leave them to each other and he continued to climb to the next floor. Upstairs, he found fewer people than in the hall but the fights were more intense. In the gang apart from the leader and the exception of the second in command, the highest ability level of gang members was 3.

Seeing both of the gang equal in number, Abraham went to the side of a wolf member and punched him hard on the back of his head. He dropped dead on the spot.

The bear member who was fighting the wolf member dropped his guard upon seeing Abraham wearing a bear jacket. Just as he turned his back, his head got separated from his body. When Abraham looked around only a single person was still standing, he was a bear member. He has just seen Abraham killing one of his own.

He didn't get any time to voice any complaints that Abraham flashed in front of him and he was down the next second when the Blood swipe hit him.

[Blood swipe level 2 reached].

"Finally." Abraham had been using this particular skill during the whole massacre due to the sole reason the upgrade its level. Like a game, the skill level up if used repeatedly.

Thanks to Abraham's large pool of hp, he could afford to use so many Blood swipes.

Being the only one left, silence regained on the floor. But Abraham with his enhanced hearing could hear a painful shout coming from the roof.

Seeing no more members present, he went to the roof. In front of him, two people were fighting. No, it was better to say one person was torturing the other.

"Ohh, here I was getting bored with this one but I didn't expect someone from bear to be so small. But no worries, I do not discriminate in my torture." The woman who spoke was none other than the second in command of the wolf gang. The woman Abraham saw that was torturing two children the other day.

She grabbed the man on the ground by his neck and a cracking sound was heard. When she let go, a lifeless body hit the ground.

She pointed her finger toward Abraham and gave him a big sadistic smile.

"You are going to be my next toy"
