Ethan Jenkins looked toward Jesslyn Derei's ear and sneered, "Isn't it right there on your ear?"
"..." Jesslyn Derei was speechless; he really had an eye for detail.
She uncomfortably touched her own ear, her eyes flashing slightly, "Yes... I was wearing this pair of earrings yesterday. But the pair I lost are studs, very precious to me. I don't usually wear them because they are too dear, but I keep them with me at all times."
"If it's something valuable, you should not carry it around with you all the time."
Ethan's tone was subdued. Though she couldn't see his face, Jesslyn Derei could still detect impatience in his voice.
Jesslyn Derei nodded, "Thank you for the reminder, Sir Hugh, but now that it's lost, I can only cause you trouble."
"Are you so sure it's here with me?"
"I've already looked at the hotel; this is the only place I haven't." Jesslyn Derei said, "Let me have a look around; it won't take too long, I promise."
