The man walked toward Kent and bowed deeply, "Young Master."
Kent looked at him questioningly, "Do we know each other?"
"Of course, Young Master doesn't know me, but I know you. I am the Elder's bodyguard. The Elder had a flare-up of his old illness this morning, and Housekeeper Kirk sent me to take you back."
"Great-grandfather is sick?"
"Yes."
Kent lowered his eyes and pondered for a moment before looking up at the man again.
He pursed his lips, "But I haven't finished picking up my shells. You go and pick up those shells over there, and I'll go back with you."
"Alright." The man nodded, a hint of a smile flashing in his eyes as he walked in the direction Kent pointed.
Elaine said anxiously, "Kent, over there, there's..."
Kent quickly covered Elaine's mouth and watched the man's retreating figure, a glint of shrewdness beyond his years flashing in his eyes.
Elaine widened her eyes in confusion.
