Battle (6) Wu Manya

"I give you a taste of defeat in just half a minute!" Wu Manya charged at Hei Niu with his aura converges on the Steel Katana. To be able to control the flow of Qi without practice is indeed praiseworthy.

Except for Xichen and Tang Yanli's paranormal ability, which remained unknown, there are five examples existed to explain the extent of this ability. In the modern world, this phenomenon is known as the expulsion of Qi within the body, or cultivation.

But in the apocalypse, it is known as the evolution stage. Those successfully evolved are also known as paranormal, evolver, or enhanced human.

Of course, evolution or expulsion of Qi, they're both belonged to the same origin, no matter in which dimension. The Qi allowed one to possess strength above regular humans, along with a unique ability that differentiates them from the others.

As examples, Tang Zhao Xin's hypnotism Qi belonged to non-combatant ability. The dead Xiang Beiming also belonged to an Inner Jing Level cultivator, with the gift that's likely related muscle mass production. They both could assist in a battle but hardly make a difference.

In terms of power levels, Wu Manya's Sharpness Aura and Hei Niu's Obsidian Body both belonged to combatant-type abilities. And Hei Niu is likely at the border between Inner Jing and Vein Expansion Level, which explains why his ability is above Wu Manya.

And Zhang Qin Feng's ability likely belonged to both categories. So far, his Ignition that's forcefully activated by Stein grants heightened sense, agility, and a hike in strength. But at the same time, Ignition grants bloodlust to a certain level that destroys people's spirits.

"Half a minute? You overestimated the little strength you got! I'll see how you destroy my Obsidian Armor!" Hei Niu fought unarmed against Wu Manya. Their battle is comparable to two dragons, one steel and another mineral, trying to break their opponent.

"Let me teach you all a lesson!" Hei Niu placed both hands on the ground as he propelled himself like a frog doing a body slam. With a crystalline armor protecting him, he will be like a boulder ramming against the pursuit bike.

"Fire at will." Yu Yang Kai's order sounds softly before a gunner's ear and made him pulled the trigger.

"Dang!" a generic Titanium Alloyed cartridge explodes in maximum force, punching Hei Niu like how it felt when one was rammed by a truck.

And for the first time ever, Hei Niu's Obsidian Armor is broken. The blow from Ashanti thoroughly creates an imprint of its power and destroys a third of the Obsidian Armor. Although he remains unbled, Hei Niu no longer capable of regenerating his defensive shirt.

"Hei Niuuu!!!" Wu Manya stands up again, partially recovered from the injuries inflicted by Hei Niu. A new Katana is on his grip, one that not from the Minos Vehicle, but the Great-Wasp. Even the body of the blade carries a matte chameleon hue.

"What's with that new sword?" Hei Niu couldn't describe the feeling of nearing death coming at him. It shouldn't be coming from Wu Manya, but the sword.

"I'm going to sleep like a log when I go back," Wu Manya channeled more Qi into Zhang Qin Feng's Katana. With Duranium used as an ingredient when casting this sword, it is three times sharper than the katana made from Grade C steel.

His hand let go of his neck, which has three-needle wounds on it. That means he just injected the second batch of Ignition Boost and two General Recovery Serums.

"Let's battle again!" Wu Manya charged at Hei Niu and gave his opponent a full swing, almost severing the time and object apart. As he was still unconsciously activating the Qi of a Paranormal, Wu Manya's attack is no different from a primitive.

But as their attack clashed, Hei Niu's defensive ability started to show a hint of breaking. When comparing Duranium with Obsidian, the former is at least three times harder.

(It's based on the MoH scale of hardness. An Obsidian are mostly around 48 to 50+, level 5.5. As for Duranium, which used tungsten as an example, is at 200+, level 7.5)

The moment the Obsidian Armor cracked, it's over.

Hei Niu's physical body is exposed for the first time in this war, and Wu Manya is right there to grab the opportunity. The Duranium Katana is retracted with the handle left, which is then used to give Hei Niu a good whack.

"Capture our enemy soldiers!" Wu Manya's order is absolute. The Minos surrounding them revealed a collection of Sugarbomb.

The curtain for the second battle rolled down in the evening. Out of 3,000 soldiers belonged to the Western Alliance, 1,800 soldiers were captured, with 500 managed to escape, and 700 death reported.

"What can you give us if we're joining you?" one of the Lieutenant asked, unaware that one of the Xichen's Warrant Officer is staring at him. When he finally noticed the ugly expression for that Warrant Officer, this lieutenant smirks and wait for Zhang Qin Feng's reply.

"I can arrange the position of a Second Lieutenant for all of you," Zhang Qin Feng replied nicely.

"Second Lieutenant? Hahaha! You're looking down on us too much." he chuckled. As an acting major in yesterday's battle, he can't believe that Zhang Qin Feng actually arranged the position of a Second Lieutenant to them.

"I'm actually looking in favor of all of you. Those that I look down is still working at my plantation, busy collecting resin." Zhang Qin Feng's follow up reply made the Lieutenant's expression turned uglier.

"Boss..." the Lieutenant is speechless.

"Why are you trying to recruit us? Don't you worry that we'll betray you?" Hei Niu asked. He can't believe there's a guy like Zhang Qin Feng existed.

"Betray me? Do you think my people have time to think about betrayal? You won't have the chance to even think about it." Zhang Qin Feng smirked. Looks like Hei Niu is still green before Zhang Qin Feng.

"As for my reason... Let just say that I wanted to control the entire Changyang. Is that enough?"
