My Transmigration Daily Life

My name is Jay Oaks and I live a normal life, or well 'lived' a normal life, until I passed away at the age of 24. After my death I awoke to a place that looked almost the same but without a bunch of machines doing the hard work, and instead people having the ability to lift cars with their mind, create fire out of thin air and even fly. And this begins my adventures in another world.

Day-5 Sleepin On the Floor Hurts

Jay's day was smooth sailing after lunch right up until bed…

"Hey Shade, what do you think I'm going to do tomorrow?"

'More exercise'

"Thanks captain obvious!"

'Oh you're welcome'

"Can't you take a joke?"

'I can if you learn to make one'

"Man, you're the best!"

Jay found a new side of Shade and turned out to like it better because it felt like talking with another person.

"Oh yeah can you make a screen or like something I can see when you talk to me?"

'Hmm… What's your preference?'

"I don't know?"

'Okay I'll guess I'll do a random one'

Jay didn't really know what to expect from Shade. Afterall Shade could literally make a watch so why not take the chance for him to get an appearance.

'Okay done'

Jay looked back with high expectations but shrieked in fear. Jay could handle most things (not really) but this was still something that frightened him.

"Kill it! Kill it!"

"You okay?!"

Someone from another room shouted.

"Yeah sorry!"

"Where's a shoe…"

'What is up with your reaction? I made a joke, funny right?'

"Oh that was you… Haha… Anyway change out if that form please?"

The form Shade chose was a spider. While the spider was neither big nor poisonous it still startled Jay enough to scream.

"Fine, fine I'll change'

The second choice Shade chose was an annoying, pesky, small insect. A fly.

"Yeah I guess that's acceptable. Yawn… time to go to sleep…"

Jay plopped down on his bed, looked to the stars and fell asleep. The morning sun didn't flow in as usual, instead the gentle pitter-patter of rain gracefully fell on the rooftop. The gray clouds covered the normally bright blue sky and the glorious sunshine. Jay got up to shower before changing into a new set of clothes and eating breakfast. Jay went to the shack and met up with Ace and surprisingly Jasmine was there too. Jasmine started to speak first;

"Today you will be doing a workout. First, you will do fifty push-ups. Second, a five minute plank. Third, fifty pull-ups and to finish eighty sit-ups. Not an insane amount but still enough for the first month."

Jay almost choked in disturbance at the sheer number of exercises to be done.

"Wait the first month?!"

"You will be alternating between different exercises targeting different muscles. The second month will have increased difficulty and the other months in due course. Alright get on it!"

The day was torture. It took a majority of their day because Jay had not done such a number of any of the exercises, he wasn't known to be the athletic kid in his past. Maybe to some it wasn't a very difficult workout, but to a person who only exercised during Physical Education, it was a rather challenging ordeal. Jay suffered through the workout only because he couldn't quit and took a long nap.

"Should we wake him up?"

"No he'll wake up soon."

Despite Jasmine and Ace's thoughts Jay wouldn't be waking anytime soon.

The moon was up in the sky and the stars glittered in the night but not a peep could be heard in the shack where one is asleep. Jay's peaceful slumber continued to the next day.

"Ugh my back hurts… What time is it?"

A watch with an orange glow popped up on Jay's wrist with the time on display. The watch read;

2:45 AM

Jay looked at the time and groggily sat up to look around. The room was dim but the features of the room could clearly be seen. The room was large and white with only training equipment out. Jay had fallen asleep inside the shack after training and had not been disturbed since.

"No wonder my back hurt!"

Jay got onto one knee and stood. He looked for a lightswitch and found one on the wall nearby. Jay flipped the switch and the room instantly brightened, it wasn't much of a change. Jay had expected more of a change so he flipped the switch back and forth and found he saw the same thing either way. To Jay it was like the dark mode and light mode on his phone, he could see everything the same but dark mode was dimmer.

"Hey Shade, when did I get night vision?"

'You've had it since you started training your ability with Ace'

"Neat now it's starting to feel like I'm a Main Character!"

'...'

Jay found a table by the door and a key along with a note.

"You were sleeping so peacefully so we decided not to wake you~ Hears the house key for when you wake up.

- Jasmine & Ace"

Jay took the keys and went to the house. He unlocked the door and slipped into his bedroom after dropping the key on the table. Jay went to his room and fell asleep instantaneously.

Hello! ;)
