Parents

A long drive out the suburb of their city crossing the state.A journey to the north-west, to home.

Quinn's hometown to be exact.She lives in quite a mediocre home growing up.She's not rich but not poor either.Her family don't struggle financially which was a good thing.She is a smart girl with good academics, excelling at school with good grades.

Her parents are two lovely people with big ambitions for their daughters.Being the eldest in the family she strives for gold so that her sisters can follow in her footsteps.To be a good example for her sisters she always tries her best at everything,trying to be the best.

Arriving in a small neighborhood near a beach Quinn can't help but wanting to jump out of the car and meet her beloved parents.

"Sweetie, I cannot believe it.We're here.It's been so long since I last seen my parents and home" she said looking at Jake eagerly wanting to get out of the car.

"Honey...we met your parents at the wedding and a week after that.Please don't be such a drama queen"said Jake smiling holding in his laugh at Quinn.

"I knowww, but it felt like forever.I missed them"Quinn said with a soft smile.

"I know darling, that's why we're here aren't it? We wanna meet your parents"Jake said pinching her on the cheek.

"You act like such a child sometimes, I wonder if I actually married a child"Jake said while Quinn is practically jumping up and down out of excitement.

The car stopped,parking into a spot.Quinn opens the passenger seat door and run towards the gate.In front of the gate stood her mother waiting for her daughter to be back.

"Quinny darling"her mother said with a smile hugging her.

"How have you been?"her mother asked looking directly at her.

"I've been fine mother, Jake has treat me very well"Quinn answered like an obedient child.

"Good"her mother said accompanying her inside.

Jake carrying the luggages following close behind them.

Inside,the table is full with food served for them.

"Mother did you make all of this?"Quinn asked in surprise.

"I figured you and Jake might be hungry after a long drive so I make quite a few servings"her mom said with a smile.

"Please help yourselves"she said pointing to the foods.

"Thank you mother"both Quinn and Jake said with a smile.

A few days has passed and it's time to leave.Quinn is reluctant but she have to visit Jake's parents too before going back to work.She gives her parents a hug almost shedding tears imagining about missing them again.

"Mother I promised I'll visit again soon"Quinn said, a tear drop fell.

"It's okay Quinny mommy's always here for you"said her mother wiping her tear away.

"Be back soon"her mother said with a smile waving at them as they drove away.

"Ready to meet your in laws?"Jake said at her with a smirk.

"Don't worry I know I'm their favorite daughter-in-law anyways"Quinn said with a wink.

"Of course you are.You took the burden away...the burden being me that is"Jake said.

"Hey! Don't say that you" she said as she pinched his ear.

"Your mother will be sad if she hears that"Quinn said with an angry expression.

"Okay okay sorry"Jake said in defeat.

"Continue our journey?"Jake asked with a smile.

Quinn nod at him with a smile.
