Double agent
George sat across from Harold, his heart racing. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. He knew he had to be careful not to show any signs of his new vampire abilities.
George's eyes darted to the door, then back to Harold. "How did you get into my house?" he demanded, his voice shaking slightly despite his best efforts to control it.
Harold's lips curled into a cold smile, but he didn't answer.
"I'm calling the police," George said, reaching for his phone on the side table.
Harold chuckled, the sound low and menacing. He seemed entirely unfazed by the threat. "Go ahead," he said, leaning forward, his eyes gleaming with a predatory light. "But remember, Mr. Morgan, the police can't catch what they can't understand. And trust me, they're woefully unprepared for the world we inhabit."
