Yi Ran Part 2
"Miss! We have 4 people here and want a private room big enough to fit us."
Li Ping went ahead and asked the reception lady, who looked to be only 22 or 21.
"One minute, sir! We have only two private rooms left, you guys are lucky. If you were late by another 10 minutes, they would have been filled too. Hmm... We have one at the west edge, which has the best view for you to look at the beautiful evening, and the other is fully enclosed on the upper, right after you take the stairs."
That young lady explained slowly but professionally. She looked at the two beautiful girls beside Ning Qi, and there was awe in her eyes for a moment.
"Obviously, we will take the one with the best view to enjoy our meal on this pleasant evening."
Just as Li Ping turned back to ask their opinion, the cute girl took a step back and said, without even bothering with the formalities.
"Good miss! You will need to pay a 1,000 yuan deposit for booking a private room, according to our policies."
She explained that it was her job, but she didn't even wait for them and took a card with the number 21 and put it on the desk.
She knows that those who want a private room must already know the cost and also be able to afford that much pretty easily. This kind of job needs a discerning eye and professionalism to deal with customers properly.
"Well! I'm taking this room, you can take whatever room is left, or you can eat outside in the hall."
Just as she put the token on the table, a guy looking to be around 45 and filthy rich took the token rashly from there. Li Ping just took his card out to pay the money and was stunned by the rude action of that guy.
"Hello, mister! We came here first! And also, how can you be so rude as to take something from others like that?"
Even before Li Ping or the reception lady responded, the fiery girl Jia Li exploded.
On the other hand, Ning Qi and Yi Ran are much more composed compared to both Jia Li and Li Ping.
That guy just gave Jia Li a sharp look, a bit surprised by her cute face and fury. But he didn't care much about her and took a card from his pocket and placed it on the desk.
"Now! Let's ask whether this girl will give me this room or not."
He inquired, his gaze fixed on Jia Li.
"Sorry, Miss! This room is already booked by this gentleman here. I will give you guys the other room, which is on the second floor."
The receptionist girl looked at the card on the table carefully, before looking at Jia Li's group with a troubled and apologetic expression.
That card is a VIP card that can be accessed by all of their branches in the country. They have the privilege of getting the room they wanted, as long as the room is free and no one has started dining.
Even if there are some guests in the room, as long as they haven't started dining, they will be asked to change rooms, not to mention that the Ning Qi team didn't even take the token.
It is this kind of rule that the young receptionist lady hates the most. But she couldn't do anything about that, and she even needs to greet that rude VIP with a forced smile.
"See! What do you have to say now, little missy?"
That man asked with scorn, obviously not taking them seriously.
"What the hell, girl! Why in the hell does this guy have the right to take away our room? If you don't give me an explanation now, I will make sure to report it to your manager and also make sure to post it on social media, making sure that it will be known to as many people as possible."
Li Ping became enraged by the receptionist's response, as well as the disgusting, lust-filled eyes of the middle-aged man when he looked at Jia Li.
The receptionist got quite scared by the shouting made by Li Ping, she looked around for help, hoping that someone would come to rescue her.
Even some of the customers, who were around the reception and knew the story from the start, looked at the receptionist questioningly, making her feel even worse.
"Yes! You have to give us a proper reason, or else I will make sure to do what I can."
Jia Li also spoke from the side. Then she looked at the guy and was about to curse him, but was stopped by a hand on her mouth from Yi Ran, who obviously felt that this was blowing up unnecessarily.
According to her, it would have been okay to just take the second room and go away with it.
She doesn't like trouble and wants to avoid it as much as possible.
It's fine to ignore these types of guys who are extremely wealthy but have no good upbringing as long as it doesn't cause them significant harm.
Jia Li also looked at Yi Ran and knew what her best friend meant. She couldn't bring herself to ignore her feelings and stayed put without making any more noise.
"Well! Do you see this card? This card itself will cost 1 million yuan, and even if you have that much money, you need the right status to be eligible for this card. If I show this card in any branch of theirs, they need to give me any room I want, and even if someone is in the room, I can ask them to leave! Just like now, even if I took this room, you are unable to do a single thing, right, missy?"
That guy gloated to the receptionist.
That girl looked helplessly at the angry Li Ping and Jia Li, then at Yi Ran and Ning Qi with pleading eyes, tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
She has been doing this job for two years and has always had a good reputation. She even got informed by the manager that she will get an increment in her salary this month as long as she maintains her performance.
Now if she isn't able to peacefully resolve this issue, not to mention her raise, even her job is at risk.
She has been studying in college, and this is a part-time job to support herself as their family isn't well off to be able to afford her studies.
"What the hell is wrong with this restaurant that doesn't respect their customers? What kind of shitty rule is that? If you don't give me a proper explanation today, I will...."
Just when Li Ping was about to threaten more, he was stopped by a hand from Ning Qi, who has been observing the receptionist girl, who is almost about to cry.
And also Yi Ran, who looks very uncomfortable, and that middle-aged guy who is looking at them like he is looking at clowns.
"Stop it, Lao Li! It's not the fault of that girl! She is just doing her job, it's just the fault of whoever made that rule."
Ning Qi slowly spoke, pushing all the blame onto the guy who made that silly rule. He knows that the manager guy is probably not going to present himself, or else this will lead to public rage, and he decided to make this girl the scapegoat.
Li Ping struggled a bit more, trying to get away from Ning Qi's grasp, but to no avail.
"It's alright, Ping Ping! It's not the fault of that girl."
Jia Li extended another hand to take Li Ping's other hand, and she whispered softly to him. Even though she is angry, she knows that this girl is not the one who gets to decide this kind of thing.
Li Ping soon calmed down a bit and realized that he was too consumed by anger because of that guy.
He released it on this girl because he couldn't scold that guy. He realized that he made a mistake and looked at that girl apologetically and gave an angry stare at that middle-aged guy before storming out with Jia Li in tow, hand in hand.
"Alright, Miss! We are not in the mood to eat today. We will come back some other day."
Ning Qi smiled at the receptionist before looking at Yi Ran and implying that she should accompany him.
"Oh boy! What a shitshow... I even thought that guy was going to hit me! Even if he scolded me, I would have made certain that his legs were broken. My bad luck, he is such a wuss who only knows how to weep in front of girls."
That man finally couldn't help but comment after seeing that the show was over.
Ning Qi took a long look at that man before walking slowly toward him. Yi Ran, on the other hand, looked very nervous, but a bit angry too.
Even though that guy looked at them with scorn before, he didn't badmouth them directly. But now even his calling Li Ping a 'W***' made her angry too. But she obviously doesn't know how to deal with the situation.
"I have been tolerating your bad attitude from the start! But I won't tolerate it if you scold my friend. Say it once more. I will make sure that you will roll on the floor till the restaurant is closed."
Ning Qi stood in front of him, looked him in the eyes, and said.
That guy got a bit intimidated by the stare from Ning Qi and stepped back a bit, before falling on his bottom, making everyone watching burst out with waves of laughter.
He looked around a bit and got confused by the 'pure wildness' that he saw in Ning Qi.
He has been an elite member of society and has met many people, including those from underground society, but he has never encountered such wildness and madness from anyone he has met thus far.
Even Ning Qi was a bit surprised by this. He is paranoid when someone threatens his family or friends, but he doesn't know why this guy is afraid of just his stare.
What Ning Qi doesn't understand is that his wildness is coming from the aura of his newly generated strength. the kind of aura that strong people or a higher kind of living organism has.
That guy soon stood up in embarrassment from all the laughter. He looked at Ning Qi with anger filling his eyes from all that embarrassment.
He thought to himself, 'What the fuck am I afraid of from a brat, who probably is a white-collar slave. '
"Boy! Remember my name, Kuang Pei! You want me to say it again, right? Here comes the W***..." Just as he opened his mouth and was about to curse, Ning took two quick steps and gave a kick to his lower abdomen, making him roll on the floor, before curling up like a baby and whimpering.
" Y-you, you..."
He doesn't know when that manager appeared. He looked at Ning Qi and that Kuang guy on the floor, wanting to say something but unable to find the proper words out of fear.
"Don't disturb him! He'll be awake by the time you guys close the restaurant. If you try to lift him, the pain will increase...."
Ning Qi explained casually and looked at the receptionist with a smile.
He then looked at the shocked Yi Ran, who was looking at him speechless, and grabbed her hand, dragging her away quickly, not wanting to deal with that issue anymore.
Even if the police come to find him for this, it won't become a big deal, at most, they will put him in jail for a day or two.
But, based on his appearance, that guy isn't the type to go to the cops. Instead, he'll mostly use underhanded methods to deal with him. But that's going to take some time, as he needs to find him first.
