Then she turned to Du Kiao. "Uncle you are handsome, now I know why aunt chose you over so many boys, I bet they didn't even get a little close to your beauty. Now I have to ask, where did Du Lixin get his face from." Immediately Xiao Li said that, there was laughter in the house.

He wasn't the only one who had to fight just to have me, I was tortured by some many girls but I never gave up on me cos he was always there to protect me." Mingzhi said with smiles.

"I was and still outstanding, am I right?" Du Kiao asked.

"Of course uncle, you are just too outstanding, I wish Du Lixin was as handsome as you are." Xiao Li said seriously waiting for Du Lixin's reply.

Du Lixin just stood still with a frown. "So my sweetheart doesn't think I'm handsome."

Xiao Li blushed shyly, how could he call her sweetheart in front of his parents and granny.

"Well I'll have to try hard to decide that." Xiao Li said with a chuckle.

Mingzhi walked to Xiao Li and held her face sweetly. "My dear, you don't have to call me aunt or call him uncle, you are now a member of the Du family so call me mom from now on. You are just like the daughter I wanted, just perfect."

"Okay Mom." Xiao Li said softly.

Mingzhi hugged her as tears slowly dropped down her face. "I've been waiting all my life to hear this from a female voice."

"Mom." Xiao Li repeated also as tears also roll down her face.

Mingzhi was a little surprised by her reaction, she wasn't expecting her to cry also, she pulled from the hug and looked at Xiao Li's wet face. "Why are you crying my dear?"

Xiao Li sniffed and said. "My parents died when I was 15 and I've been taking care of myself since then, though I have a sister but she abandoned me and left the country so it's me alone. It just felt good when you accepted me as a member of this family and I can also call you mom. Thank you so much, thank you."

"It's alright my dear, I hope I can make a place as your mother in your heart. You are my daughter from now on Xiao Li."

Du Lixin smiled warmly at them. He was really happy that they've accepted each other but he got a little serious when he remembered that this was just a contract marriage. What if Xiao Li does not fall in love with him before then, how will his parents feel, how will she feel, his mother will be so heartbroken, and now it seems like they've grown a strong bond within just few minutes. He hopes that this will last forever.

They all went to the dinning room and sat down.

"So how do you both meet, fell in love and got married without even talking to us about it." Granny said and faced Du Lixin with a frown. "Lixin you are now a naughty boy, how can you get married without telling us. You are lucky you brought someone just as perfect as she is." Then she turned to Xiao Li. "Did he force you into getting married before coming to meet us?"

Xiao Li nodded while putting some food in her mouth.

Du Lixin looked at her in surprise.

Xiao Li whispered with food still in her mouth. "What, you literally forced me."

"Lixin so you forced her. Mingzhi I told you, this boy is being pampered too much, now see what he has done. Xiao Li don't mind him, he is a naughty boy." Granny said.

"Mm yes, really naughty." Xiao Li nodded in agreement.

Du Lixin looked at the both of them in surprise, completely speechless.

Du Kiao smiled and said to Du Lixin. "Lixin don't mind them, they are women, they'll definitely support each other."

Du Lixin shook his head in disbelief and continued eating.

When they finished eating, Du Lixin led Xiao Li to his room. Immediately they got in, Xiao Li took some clothes from the wardrobe, Mingzhi told her that she already had some clothes ready for her in the room. She entered the bathroom, took her bath quickly and came out.

Du Lixin just sat down, looking at her in confusion.

"Why are you in such a hurry, are you tired or feeling sleepy?"

"No I'm going to Granny's room to sleep there tonight, I want to listen to all her stories, from the beginning till the end." Xiao Li said applying cream on her body.

"So you won't be sleeping with your husband because of some stories, Xiao Li I need you to sleep here tonight, how do you expect me to sleep peacefully when my wife is in another room." Du Lixin said with a little pleading tone.

"Not just another room, it's Granny's room, and you can sleep on your own. Bye." Xiao Li said and walked towards the door.

"Her stories are torments." Du Lixin try to warn.

"Well not your torments." Xiao Li said and left the room.
