My Second Life in Another World

As night descends, a man sits alone, lost in thoughts of grief on his birthday, mourning the loss of his parents. Seeking solace, he turns to alcohol, hoping to numb the pain. But when he wakes the next day, he finds himself in a strange new world, gifted with powers he unknowingly acquired in his intoxicated state. Rather than succumbing to despair, he chooses to face the unknown with resilience and determination. Exploring this unfamiliar realm, he uncovers hidden truths about himself, unlocking a wellspring of abilities he never knew existed. Driven by an unwavering desire to be reunited with his parents, he embarks on a quest to understand his newfound powers and the world that now surrounds him. Throughout his journey, he forms alliances, overcomes adversaries, and lends a helping hand to those in need. If there are also those who pose a threat to his loved ones. He confronts these challenges head-on, employing diverse strategies beyond mere violence. From Solo Leveling to The Beginning After The End to Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, follow this man's story as he tries to make sense of his new reality and find his way back to his loved ones. …. Before you begin reading the story, I'd like to share a few important points. The main character (MC) is a good-natured and cheerful person, so don't expect him to become excessively violent or aggressive from the start. However, he won't let others walk all over him and will deal with anyone he sees as a potential threat. How he handles these situations won't always involve violence, but you'll understand more about this as you progress into the second part of the story. The first part is meant to be uplifting and doesn't involve much danger because the MC is already powerful. Its purpose is mainly to introduce the MC's personality and the female characters who will develop romantic feelings for him. I did my best with my writing skills at the time, so I apologize if it's not as good as you'd like. Your feedback and thoughts are welcome, as I value your input. While this story can be enjoyed as a lighthearted harem fanfic commonly found in web novels, if you take the time to explore the sentences and scenarios, you'll find deeper meaning beneath the surface. Ultimately, it's up to you as the reader to interpret and decide whether it's a typical fanfic with an overpowered MC and a harem or something more meaningful when read with greater thought and investment. I've learned this through my writing experiences. Give it a try and let me know your thoughts after reading. I deeply appreciate all of my readers, and I am truly grateful to those who enjoy reading this story. Your support means a lot to me. At the same time, I want to apologize to those who didn't find it appealing or satisfying. Anyway thanks for taking the time to engage with my work, and I will try to improve and deliver content that you may like one day. That is all, Thank you for reading. Note: This story is a fan fiction and I do not own any of the characters. Unexpected...

'Even with Haru playing his final card…' Hae-in knew that this couldn't continue because it would cause a lot of trouble if there wasn't enough struggle for the constellations watching, '…but there is no need to worry.' She smiled because they had planned a really lovely show for these guys.

'So, enjoy yourself while you still can,' Hae-in smiled as soon as the ice sheet was connected to the other side safely and…

"The next batch has come!" Dok-ja notified everyone to get them moving.

"Everyone quickly climb the ladder and use it carefully!" Jin-ah urged them as the ladders were quickly leaned on the wall by Seol-hwa's group who were waiting for this moment.

"Yes,"

"We'll go first,"

The close combatants of Seol-hwa had already given her group their orders, and they were moving on them since there was no time to lose.

"Be careful, and don't bump into one another or the sides," Jin-ah warned them like an adult while she was the youngest of them.

"We'll keep it in mind,"

"We will be careful,"

But they didn't see her as a youngster, she was way stronger than them and was more helpful than them in the current situation, so in simpler words, her standing was enough for her to order them around.

"Good," Jin-ah nodded contently as these people climbed the ladders and in front of them wasn't a bridge but…

"Will a slide really work?" They were of course a little taken aback by this.

"C'mon be quick there are more people!" But Jin-ah wasn't in the mood to explain things.

'A slide is obviously better than a normal bridge since I work with ice,'  Jin-ah sighed since both Alea and her had to think of several ideas that everyone rejected, 'But they weren't wrong.' She knew that using a straight ice bridge which was supported by the vines would cause problems.

Not only was there a chance of the people slipping but there was a big risk of the ice breaking under constant pressure, which normally wouldn't happen with Jin-ah, but they needed to add that in to look less suspicious.

'The slide is better though,' Jin-ah was proud of this because there wouldn't be much pressure from the ice, and the transfer would be much faster since they would be slipping on the ice surface which reduced the chances of the whole thing collapsing.

And on the other side…

"Good job," Alea gave a thumbs up to the guy who landed on his feet, it wasn't hard since they weren't speeding down the slide at top speeds but she did that nonetheless.

Because of the low incline, it was a smooth ride, and the person could easily land on his feet while grabbing onto the thick branch that was suspended at the end of the slide.

"It was nothing," The guy smiled since being complimented by a pretty woman was always a joy, "Also is there anything we can do to help?" But he still had his orders and most of all. "We want to help as much as we can."

"Yes me too."

"Tell us if we can do something to support."

And it wasn't just him other people who had crossed the gap were the same. They had seen how much work had gone into this, and it would be weird if they didn't want to help after seeing how hard everyone else was working.

"That's very kind of you all, we are currently experiencing quite a shortage of attacking members to deal with the monsters in the surroundings of our base," They all listened to her words attentively, "Most of our attackers are dealing with the Ichthyosaurs in order to keep them from swarming the bridge, so we would appreciate your help in dealing with other monsters in the surrounding."

"Sure."

"Leave it to us!"

These people were more than happy to help as soon as they heard about it. This was a good opportunity to integrate into the group, and it was the order of their leader after all.

"So, where do we have to go?" The first guy asked, and Alea just pointed at the cars that were a little distance away from them.

"All of those who want to help can go to the cars, they'll take you to the area that needs help at the moment," Alea said with a smile and these people glanced at each other in confusion.

'A car?' They all had incredulous expressions on their faces as soon as they saw the cars in the distance.

And their concern was valid, since how would a car run in the current Seoul streets that were mostly damaged?

Not to mention, where did they even get working cars from?

Most of them should be destroyed by the monsters that were rampaging around the city and had blown up, and if they weren't destroyed by monsters it would surely attract more by the noise and they'd be sitting ducks inside that congested space.

"Come on guys, we don't have a lot of time. Just believe in us one more time," But Alea urged them and didn't allow them to think for longer, which is why they rushed to the car hoping for the best.

'I do understand their confusion,' Alea sighed as she saw a new group forming in front of her, 'But this is nothing compared to what the base is like now.' But she was looking forward to their reactions, since she was the one who had helped the most in clearing out the areas where their base was set.

'I'll worry about that later,' In the end she just shook her head, and was waiting for those looks filled with amazement these people will have as time passed.

On the other side of the bridge, the fifth group had finally arrived and it was the batch filled with non-combatants numbering over 200.

And along with them was…

"What is that bastard doing walking on water?" Pil-du frowned looking at Haru running around the water to keep the Sea commanders occupied.

It made for a weird scene, and Pil-du didn't like it even more because...

'What is this devilish brat up to behaving like that?' Pil-du had gotten the message that he should come to the bridge as soon as possible, since he was needed here.

But he refused to do it till all of the non-combatants were out of the base, since he was basically the first line of defense thanks to his stigma that gave him a high advantage in holding down an area.

'And I was sure this guy would be fine on his own,' Pil-du smirked as he started up his militarized zone near the edge of the gap and raised his turrets, 'That's what I would expect from someone like this bastard.' That trust is what gave Pil-du enough confidence to stay back and defend the base till only the combat and support teams remained there.

"Good timing Pil-du I was just about to reach my limit," Haru and Hae-in had already noticed him and rushed up with wry smiles.

"Yeah, we'll depend on you for now," Hae-in spoke with a smile as she wiped the sweat and water off her body.

"As if, I know you are hiding more," Pil-du rolled his eyes before he started blasting the Ichthyosaurs with full force.

"Come on don't doubt me like that," Haru sighed, "Look I am drenched in sweat over here." But even after he pointed that out Pil-du just wasn't buying it.

'It is because I have been your enemy once that I can't trust your words at all,' Pil-du had his reason to be like that, and they were valid since he had paid for his mistakes back then.

"Well, whatever," Haru shrugged before turning towards Seol-hwa who was also exhausted, "Thank you for your help earlier." If it wasn't for Seol-hwa making a paralyzing potion to attack the Ichthyosaurs, "We would've surely had injuries by now."

'It is a good thing that she took an active role along with her group,' Haru was really quite grateful to Seol-hwa, he was able to get fewer suspicions from the Constellations thanks to her jumping in, it was just that, 'I didnt expect her to go this far.'

"No… It was nothing," Seol-Hwa was currently sitting on the tracks because she had no strength and even looked paler than before, "I am sorry ….I can't help further." She had already used too much of her own blood, while constantly keeping the poison claw skill on over the past hour.

This took a toll on her and left her in this state, where she was depleted of both mana and strength. If another human in her place did this, they would die because of the excessive amount of blood drawn at once.

'If it wasn't for my skills and my supporting constellation,' Seol-hwa's eyes went towards her own trembling hands, 'I would've already died by now.'
