4. Suprised Casting

"But I'm a woman...."

Hearing Amy's word Fiona look so pissed off.

"Amy!!! You really!!!"

Fiona stopped talking when three people entered that room. The shameless Wayne immediately approached Fiona even though his manager had been trying to stop him, Sherly went straight to the casting room and behind her there is Barry.

Even though Barry was seen talking to the assistant, Fiona knew he kept looking at Amy who was hiding behind Wayne's back.

"Speaking of the right man.... There is the person who caused your scandal."

Amy keep hide herself behind Wayne. Meanwhile Wayne who only stared at Fiona was shocked to hear Fiona's words.

"Huh!!! Me!! The reason of Amy's scandal??? There's no way Fiona... I swear to our lov-..."

Wayne's words were cut off when his mouth was covered by someone's hand from behind.

"Thanks Mr Tom, please prevent your actor from disturbing my actress."

The person called Mr Tom is Wayne's manager. He and Fiona has been under the agency company for along time. Mr Tom swiftly pulls Wayne to get ready. The Casanova can only surrender.

Amy, who lost her hiding place, finally turned her body so she wouldn't meet Barry's eyes.

"Amy, are you okay? Are you sure you want to join this casting. You never want to be in the same frame with him."

Amy shook her head looked at Fiona confidently.

"Fiona I have to face it. Anyways this is my chance to be in one frame with Sherly."

Fiona was still a little worried, but seeing Amy's determination and her confidence, Fiona became even more excited.

"Good, that's just the spirit.... Let's concentrate on casting today."

Fiona cheering at Amy.

"Good luck."

From the corner of the room, Barry kept looking at Amy who was getting ready. A sly smile appeared on his face.

"Barry, can we not disturb Amy this time."

Barry immediately glared at his assistant who was opening a drinking bottle for him.

"Ah.... It would be boring if I didn't tease the person who has rejected me."

His assistant could only shake his head.

"Amy Smith... Can come into the room."

Nervous flowing at Amy's mind but her determination was far greater.

'This isn't your first casting, so chill Amy!! Just do your best, everything will be fine, everything will be fine!'

The spell repeated in her head until she arrived in front of the casting crew.

"Amy Smith.... Wow what an attractive appearance."

At the end of the table, Sherly looked at Amy. Once again she agreed that her appearance was striking. The manager must have a unique taste in clothes.

"Ah this? I always choose what I will wear myself, even though my manager will reject my choice completely but in the end she often gives up."

Laugh echoed in the room but that bright atmosphere could not be seen on Sherly's face. Her mind was stuck with Amy's statement.

"She is free spirit.. So different from me."

An uninvited envy feeling creeps into Sherly's heart. The director beside her turned his head because he thought Sherly was talking to him.

"Yes Sherly, do you have something to ask?"

Hearing Sherly's name called, Amy immediately looked at Sherly. Her heart was so happy mixed with nervousness that she could meet Sherly, without realizing it she kept staring intently at Sherly.

"Ah, we can continue."

Sherly turn her gaze to the director after answering him but she can felt Amy's glare to her. Her mind immediately fell on Barry's words.

'Just as Barry said, she is kind only in front of the crew.'

"Okay, Amy try show your ability.... Come on, Miss Jun, show what you can."

Amy nodded, she calmed her mind closing her eyes for a while.

'I am Juni.... In front of me is Rachel who is my rival. I'm Juni, who is obsessed with Rachel's lover.'

As soon as she opened her eyes, Amy immediately stepped towards Sherly. His eyes turned cynical and arrogant. The director who saw the change in Amy's character smiled faintly.

Once in front of Sherly's desk. Amy holds Sherly's chin and lifts her to see her face.

"You think you are happy with David?"

Amy felt so happy because she can be this close to her favorite actress.

"Are you sure, with him everything will go smoothly?"

Sherly could feel Amy's cold hand, her sharp eyes brought Sherly into Juni's character. Make her immersed in the visualization of Juni. Until she subconsciously answered Amy's question.

Amy is a little surprised that Sherly accepts her improvisation. She's getting more and more passionate about bringing Juni to life.

Sherly seems to be hypnotized by Juni in Amy's role. She don't know if she still hasn't calmed down because of what happened with her mom that morning or because Amy's acting skills are so real. Sherly answered again.

"How can you be so sure?"

Sherly question make Amy so happy and will never regret even if she doesn't pass the casting, because she has been able to act with Sherly a little. Returning to continue her dialogue, Amy said loudly.

"Because you only see him as an tool to reach your goal. Not as a person who completes you. Do you understand sweety?"

Sherly was still silent. Amy continued her dialogue. This time Amy's voice turned slightly weak as if she was pleading with Sherly.

"Rachel.... I know David prefers you. And I was only used as a tool to make you jealous. If you still have doubts. I will pursue him. I will make him fall in love with me."

Everyone in the room was silent, making Amy's hoarse voice became audible because she started crying.

"If you only want success, can you let him go? Please!"

The director's applause echoed throughout the room. Sherly was surprised that she can get so carried away with Amy's acting.

"Wow.... Shouldn't at the end of scene, Juni furiously leaving the room and slamming the door. But you turned it into a pathetic Juni and begged for a chance to get with David."

Sherly is still watching Amy closely. Amy who felt Sherly's stare, glanced at Sherli a little and immediately turned her face away to answer the director.

"I'm sorry if I changed the character but when I read the script, Juni is actually not a bad person, she is just obsessed with David more than anything. Juni who already knows she lost from the start will do anything to get David including if she has to beg Rachel as an expression of her frustration."

"Hmmm good idea... How about you Sherly, you are also very spontaneous."

Sherly just smiled faintly at Amy. Amy who was still nervous in front of the director didn't notice Sherly smiling at her. Her gaze was fixed on the director in front of her. This makes Sherly thinking that Amy ignored her.

"Okay Amy thanks for the time. Juni seems to be suitable for you. We will inform your manager later."

Hearing the good response from the director, Amy was speechless, just shook the director's hand and immediately left the room forgetting that there were other members in the room including Sherly.

Outside the room Fiona waited impatiently. Seeing other artist who had arrived, anxiety hit her even more. Especially when Amy came out with slightly puffy eyes.

"Amy, what are you doing in there?"

Amy staring at her manager.

"Fiona... Seems like everything is going well."

A happy smile was clearly visible on Amy's face. Then she explained what was going on inside.

Fiona didn't seem surprised by Amy's improvisation, not once or twice she was slightly change her character. That's what makes directors who have worked with her have admiration for Amy's ability. When she was about to leave suddenly Mr Tom approached Fiona.

"Miss Fiona, can I ask you a favor?"

Fiona sighed as if she knew what had happened.

"He threatened that don't wanna casting again?"

Mr Tom nodded, Fiona who knew that her husband was often a bother Mr Tom sighed heavily.

"Haaah.... Amy, you wait here, okay. Mr Tom's hair will grow out if I don't help him."

Amy laughed while looking at Mr. Tom who was still smoothing his thin hair while waiting for Fiona.

Amy then took her cellphone to inform Erick and Miley that the casting went well.

"Seems like you got some good news?"

The voice of the person she didn't want to see startled her that she dropped her phone.

"It seems Amy is still afraid of me. How about we strengthen our relationship? How about dinner."

That man picked up Amy's cell phone and was about to hand it over to her but when Amy was about to take it he pulled the phone back.

"Barry, soon will be your turn. Don't make a trouble."

Barry'a assistant reminded him again.

"I just helped get her cell phone. Like that night, I only took Amy to dinner, she is the one who suggested us to going to the night club."

Amy, who was furious, gripped his hand forcibly and took the cell phone from his hand. Didn't expect Amy to be that strong, Barry unconsciously shouted. And made everyone in the room turn their heads.

"Amy!!! I just got your phone. Why are you twisting my hand. I don't see anything on your phone."

A sly smile appeared on Barry's face. Amy, who was aware of being the center of attention, spoke as quietly as possible to remind Barry.

"Barry, I don't know what scares you so much. I'm not going to spread information about that night at the night club. I've been trying to forget about it but you keep bugging me."

Barry seemed satisfied that Amy finally spoke to him. In a tiny whisper he said to Amy.

"But I keep remembering that incident. If you want me to forget it forever maybe we can continue our unfinished 'business' that night. Your lover left a scar on my forehead sweety, so it won't be easy to forget it."

Amy get cornered. She hoped Fiona would come soon and take her out to go home.

"Wow....Wow.... It turns out that Barry have a courage to approach you. Even though I wants to help."

Instantly Barry's triumphant face turned into annoyance.

"Ha ha Brother Wayne, thanks for the advice, we're good friends now. Isn't it Amy."

Amy who was approached by Fiona could only nod slowly. People who heard Wayne's words, laughed and the atmosphere became lighter.

"Barry Cheng.. You can come in now."

Amy was able to breathe again when Barry going in for the casting.

"You guys still have a schedule? Fiona you should take her home with you. Looks like she's not feeling well."

Wayne look little worried.

"Are you okay? We're going home now. Your schedule is done for today."

Amy nodded then Fiona rushed to pull Amy out followed by Wayne and Mr Tom.

Arrived outside the building Fiona suddenly had to return to the room.

"Ah, I left my notebook inside, I'll take it first."

Fiona runs away to take her book.

"Thank you brother, for your help. You guys can go back. I'm going to get the car in the parking lot."

Mr Tom stopping Amy.

"Amy, let me take the car. You wait for Miss Fiona here."

Not wanting to argue, Amy handed over her car keys to Mr Tom.

"Amy, if we want, we can sue Barry. Let mother and Uncle Ben take care of it. That child has really gone too far."

Hearing comforting words from him she smiled again.

"You and Fiona always protect me like brother and sister ha ha."

Amy tries to find the right words for Wayne.

"I also want to protect Erick. He was young at the time and was only trying to help me. I don't want him to be sued for hurting Barry."

Wayne just took a deep breath and patted Amy's head. Amy didn't realized her tears flowed freely. Afraid that passersby would misunderstood, Wayne trying to cover Aya's face by hugging her.

"Amy congratulations.... You've successfully get that role today...."

Wayne loud voice make Amy realized that she was in a crowded place and was crying.

Knowing Wayne was saving her from that strange situation, she followed his game. As soon as she let go of his embrace, she finally smiled. They thought it was a good way to cover up Amy's situation.

"Hey, if you want to cause trouble, don't do it in front of a crowded building. Don't you see that on the other side, there are people who have been surprised to see your behavior."

Fiona suddenly pop up behind of them. The two of them looked in the direction Fiona mentioned. There they saw several people passing by and a figure that made Amy's heart skip a beat.

"KEITH!!"
