In jail

"Classic Steve." I mumbled and dialed his number.

"Hello." he said as he picked up the call.

"Guess who is speaking." I muttered.

"My love." He beamed and I didn’t know when I blushed.

"It’s not time for this, I am alone at home i think my parents went to the police to bail out Lisa." I stated.

"They must go, she is their daughter don’t stress yourself too much go to bed." He said, blowing kisses at me.

"Okay, take care of yourself,  I will see them tomorrow." I muttered and put the phone in my ear.

"Rachael, I am sorry about your talent show." He apologized.

"No need to feel bad, it was Lisa’s fault." I assured

"Go to bed, okay, talk tomorrow, bye kisses." He beamed and hung up without waiting for my reply.

I knew he wanted me to have some rest.

At the police station..

Mrs Ray pulled up in her car in front of the police station and rushed inside like a mad woman.  She sighted Lisa sitting on the floor of the prison cell and ran to her immediately, ignoring the police.

Lisa stood up and stared at her mother from the cell.

"Mum, get me out of here I can’t stay here any longer." Lisa muttered, crying continuously.

"What happened? Why are you here?" Mr Ray asked.

"Mum, I tried to kill Rachael in school today and they arrested me." She stated.

"What do you mean they arrested you? Who arrested you?"

"It’s Rachael’s boyfriend's friend." Lisa replied.

"Hang in there, I will get you out of here." Mrs. Ray was confident and walked to the policeman, where she found him sitting on a desk near the cell.

"Good….she wanted to greet him when he stopped her with his hand.

"So after ignoring me, you are here to talk to me, I will have to ignore you too." He said, pouring tea into a cup on his desk.  Mrs Ray stands akimbo, glaring at him.

"Do you know who I am?" she asked bluntly.

"I don’t care who you are, you will have to abide by my rules if you want to bail your daughter out tonight or she will stay here till tomorrow."  He shrugged.

Mrs Ray breathes continuously and stands in front of him trying to calm herself down. After a million years of standing, the man looked up at her.

"It's after 12 p.m. already, so how much are you willing to pay to bail your daughter out?" he inquired.

"I will pay you any amount I don’t want my daughter to stay here any longer, she is too young to be in jail." She stated.

"Alright, you will have to pay 2,000 dollars." he stated.

"I will pay," she said, bringing out money from her pulse and dropping it on his desk.

"What an attitude." He remarks and takes the money.  He looked at other policemen.

"Go and free her stupid daughter." He said and they unlocked the cell and dragged Lisa out. She walked to her mum, looking down.
