CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO ||| THE HEART

I looked inside the room that Jade pointed to and saw Viviano standing and looking all sexy and buff.

He got me very hot and bothered but I had to focus and concentrate on the mission I had in mind which is to find out what my crimes were and why he ignored me like that, I didn't know what I did wrong and why he had to behave that way towards me.

"Come on let's go meet my mother.,"Jade said pulling me inside the room...

I stumbled inside, my sights went towards Viviano's direction, he sat down when I stepped inside the house and I suddenly felt like I was in a court attendance and I was being judged as I stood there not knowing what to say.

"Hello, Adrian," the beautiful elderly woman who happen to be Jade's mother greeted me while standing up and drawing me to herself for a hug.

She hugs me tightly close to her as if I was her long lost son.

I didn't have any other choice but to hug her back, she was very beautiful and I loved her already, I love how Jade and the woman welcomed me so beautifully like I was part of their family even when Viviano had that annoying look on his face as if he wanted me to disappear from his presence and never appear again before him.

"Vivia told me you are married, how is your husband doing? How many years have you guys been together?" she was dumping her curiosity on me and I was just standing there looking nervous as hell, what exactly was I thinking when I came here I wondered.

"It's okay mother, take it easy and ask him one question at a time," Viviano told the mother,

"Oh, okay." the beautiful mother replied to him.

I looked at him shyly worried about what the problem might have been between us, one moment we had sparks flying in the air, and the next moment he acts like I am a louse and he just wants to crush me lifeless.

"It's okay I will answer her," I told Vivia, looking pleadingly at him, he didn't even spare me a glance and just sat back down.

I was very disappointed by the way he was treating and making me feel but I just ignored him and went on to tell the mother about all of the questions she asked me.

|" mmmh, My husband's name is Frankie and he is doing very well, thank you." Thoughts of Frankie made me smile unconsciously. I stopped smiling when I realise that I was the only one smiling in the room."

I looked down nervously and Jade noticed and reached out to hold my hands across the table,

"So how did the both of you meet? Jade asked me

"Frankie has been around as long as I remember, I remembered seeing him with my father as a child, he was always been within my sight right from my childhood but we officially started dating Five years ago and we got married just before my father's death," I answered them, the thought of my father's death made me sad.

"Am sorry about your father's death," Viviano's mother said and Jade smiled at me squeezing my hands.

I smiled back at them and mouthed my thanks.

I kept looking towards Viviano, I didn't want to look at him like that, but the sad distorted look on his face left me no choice, the worst part of everything was that he wasn't even sparing me a glance, all that conflict just left me in total turmoil.

*Ding*Ding*Ding*Ding*

It was my phone ringing, I took it out of my pocket and it was Frankie calling, I excused them and stood up and walk away from the table a little bit so I could pick up the call.

|" Hola Mi Amor. Frankie said from the other end.

|*Hola I replied,

|"when are you coming back, you are running late and I miss you, it's lonely in the house alone without you. Frankie said, I knew he was pouting on the other end.

|*I will be back soon my love, I had something important to take care of, I told him

|*Hope I didn't sabotage or crash your meeting Frankie said teasingly...

|*I smiled, no you didn't babe, I will be back to you soon, do you want anything I asked him.

|*No babe, I just want you here with me. Frankie replied

|*Okay Melculum, I will be back soon....¶Melculum means Honey¶

|* See you soon. Frankie said and hung up.

I ended the call, pocketed my phone and went back to the table, I sat down and look at Viviano again but the look of anger and disgust on his face left me tight-lipped and somewhat voiceless but I was determined to find out what the problem was between us, so I cleared my throat and decided to speak out even with all the prying eyes that were on me in the room.

"Viviano, please can I talk to you?" I said looking pleadingly at him,

"No, I do not want to talk to you about anything," Viviano replied bluntly and stood up leaving the room.

I wanted to go after him but his Mum and His friend Craig held me back and said I should allow him to go for now.

I asked Craig if he knew what I could have done wrong, that I and him haven't even talked since the day he dropped me off, but he has been so strange to me since that day, I didn't even get the chance to say thank you to him for what he did for me that day...

Craig patted my shoulders and said I wasn't the problem, he said Viviano was going through a situation and will talk to me when he was okay and had calmed down a little.

He assured me that Viviano will call me, so I should go home.

" I will make sure he calls you when he is okay Adrian," Jade said hugging me from behind, I smiled and nodded my head at her assurance.

But just as I was about to leave, I suddenly became very dizzy and drowsy, I tried walking towards the door but I sag and Craig rush to hold me down, I knew it was Balsham trying to take over my consciousness, seriously this wasn't the right time, Frankie is waiting for me, and we are not home right now, it's a wrong territory, wrong timing, but all my pleas were futile,

Balsham never listens to me, he does what he wants.

Even on the day, my father was laid to rest he took over my consciousness and walked around annoying everyone, he even picked a fight with Frankie's best friend. He is annoying like that, so right now I am pretty sure he is trying to pick a fight with Viviano and his family but I wasn't going to allow that.

I tried standing up to leave again but I droop again and this time I felt my consciousness drift from me and I just allowed myself to go as Balsham took over my consciousness

"Please call me Viviano immediately..." I said as I woke up, "Why are you guys looking at me like that, I just sent you on an errand, can you call me the Alpha, I don't have much time to waste."

Jade came closer to me, she was circling me as Nash rushed to the room I presumed Viviano went into.

"You are not Adrian, you are a reincarnated spirit who wasn't reborn even though you were meant to be reborn as Adrian," Jade said even to my surprise, no one has been able to unveil the mystery of my relationship with Adrian, she was the first.

"You are not wrong Jade," I told her as Viviano came inside the room, I looked at the man that I have been in love with for generations now, he still doesn't remember me, I looked at Jade questioning her,

"How come you have a detailed analysis of my situation and you can't tell your brother a clear picture of what is going on? I asked her sincerely curious.

"He was not yet ready to hear the truth, I thought he was going to be patient enough for the right time but I was wrong, there is never a right time, the heart wants what it wants, the heart doesn't curb to time, am so sorry V," Jade said turning to look at her brother.

" What are you guys talking about?" Viviano asked looking confused, "Jade, Mum, Craig what is going on? what wasn't I ready to know about? Viviano asked and he turned in my direction,

"Balsham"

"Yes it is me, Alpha Viviano, am sorry I have to show up like this but it was extremely necessary, please sit down and listen, I do not have much before Frankie calls Adrian." I said and Viviano sat down near his mother, I watched as his mother massaged his hair and reassuring him that she is there with him, I smiled as I watch his face relax with because of the mother's words.
