CHAPTER NINETEEN ||| BEING LUCE

I got back to the pack house less than 10minute after I left Adrian's place, this was only possible because I was still in my wolf form, I got inside the compound, Nash was waiting for me outside and we both went straight to the hall where we gather for our meetings, I didn't know what Jade wanted to talk about but it sounded like a serious problem, Nash who was head security for the pack house was the one who was in charge of the meeting itinerary, It's usually Craig who handles affairs like that but Craig was just sitting quietly and looking defeated, I made a mental note to talk to him especially now that I was the one dominating Viviano's form but that will be after the meeting because for now I was focused on the task at hand...

The agenda of the meeting was just to prepare the mind of the pack against any danger that may be lurking unknowingly around and make preparations in case of any impending battle or threat that may come later...

"Alpha everything has been kept in place and we are ready for anything," Nash said assuring me.

"What of the Packhouse internal security?" I asked,

"There have been perimeters set Alpha, even if we go to battle the Packhouse will be safe, and the Warlocks will cloak the whole Clan hiding it from any outside attack.," Nash replied,

"That's very perfect...what do you think Craig?" I turned and asked him since he wasn't participating in any discussions we had in the meeting,

"I think everything is well planned out Alpha," he replied to me,

"Do you have anything you want to contribute to the plan, Beta?" I asked him sternly.

He looked at me and knew I was upset, am not the type to allow personal conflicts to affect the Pack's interest at all, personal conflicts should be kept at arm's length when it came to the Pack's safety, we can conflict later so I was very upset when he was feeling sad just because of something he couldn't help or something he didn't have any control over and wasn't contributing in the meeting because of that.

"I will make arrangements for the warrior's family and their mates, I will try to recruit the rogue wolves that are willing to join and make sure they're properly trained and ready for a battle anytime, and the rooms have been prepared for Mama Elizabeth and Jade, and should they should be arriving the airport in 30mins...Zayn is already at the airport to pick them up," Craig said while looking at everyone and avoiding my eyes.

"Okay, then the meeting is over until urgent needs arise," I announced standing up and Nash following me from behind as we left the room.

"See me in my room," I told Craig over our mind-link, I could feel him look at me when I gave him the order. "Okay, Alpha," he replied through the mind-link.

I went back to the room, took out my phone and saw missed calls from Adrian, I sighed and drop my phone, I felt very tired...

|"How long are you going to lock me out?"|Viviano asked me,

"Until you are ready not to sulk around Viviano, the Pack needs you right now, our Mate is ours and nothing will change, at least he hasn't rejected us yet,"| I said to my human,

|"Even you, you are scared too, Luce, scared that he might reject us and we have 30 days to make him mate with us and it seems very impossible as of this moment."| Viviano complained sadly to me..."And what do we do about this Mark?" he retorted sadly, even as a wolf, the level of pain I felt was enough to mould bricks with it, so I could understand how he felt like a human form

"Am here Alpha," I heard Craig announce his arrival over our mind-link, and I stood up from the bed so I could focus my attention on him...

I asked him to sit down since he was still standing, his behaviour was frustrating me, so I told him that I wanted to talk with Aurum his wolf, he agreed and started stripping his clothes in my presence, I have seen him naked several times, almost every time we go on a run but why was I just noticing how beautiful my Beta is, he was very defined, every single feature on him was well defined and highlighted, he was picture perfect, I realised myself and immediately looked away.

After stripping he went on all fours and shifted I could feel the wolf's presence in the room. I turned back at Him...

"Hi," I said standing up so I could walk over to him. I knelt before him and he immediately turned away, he didn't want to see me kneeling.

"Ahh, it's fine Aurum," I told him patting his head so he could turn and looked me, I played with his head, "And it's me, Luce," I said to him...

"I know he replied, I am so sorry for marking you Alpha," Aurum said, he knelt beside me resuming a submissive position, I could feel the wolf's sadness all over, I held his claws and pinched it hard, he didn't even flinch...

"Aurum, I know you didn't have any other choice but to do what you did, just in case you haven't realised what you did save my life and I am grateful, I do not like it that you feel this after doing such a grand deed for humanity," I said teasing the wolf, he giggled and smiled..."I forgive you Aurum, stop tormenting your human, I need him to be active." I told him,

"But I did not torment him, he is tormenting himself because of what the High Priestess said to him," Aurum said and I looked at him curiously,

"What did the High Priestess say?" I asked him.

"I am not supposed to tell you, I'm orderi..."

"Sshh," Aurum shushes me, "Don't use that Alpha tone with me, Luce, Craig will tell you when he is ready, he will hate me if I tell you, besides I think he needs both your human and you to be in one form when he says it," Aurum completed his statement looking at me.

I smiled at him knowing my best friend was back..."Okay okay, I won't ask," I told him and we both laid down beside each other.

"How is he doing?" I asked Aurum,

"I think he is ready now, I want to go back inside," he said and giggled, 'It's tiring staying out," he said...

"I understand what you mean," I told him.
