CHAPTER EIGHTEEN ||| BIASED

"Your order is here Sir," the Barista said placing my orders on the table, I picked up my coffee and perceived it, I took in the wonderful aroma of freshly ground coffee, a delicate mix of floral and earthly scents and the wistful feeling shoot straight to my senses almost like a brain booster...Smelling my coffee was my favourite morning routine.

I finally took a sip of the coffee and I heard my phone beep, I picked it up and dropped my coffee while picking up the cake and munching on it while I check the notification on my phone, it was my assistant sending my schedule for the day. I had my first meeting by 11.00 am, it was only 10:15 am, so I still had time I thought, so I took my time to enjoy my little breakfast, I texted Frankie telling him what my morning has been like since I left home and how much am missing him. He didn't reply, he was still sleeping I guess. I thought about calling Viviano but I decided against it, I was going to pass by his house before home after work hours, so there was no need to call him, I finished my breakfast, asked for my bill, paid the barista and also left him a tip before heading out,

"Thank you, sir," the handsome lad who had served me echoed as I got into my car. I drove to my company first so I could pick up my assistant and check in on what is going on with my workers and the company in general, I haven't been to the office for a while it was mostly Nòe who handled everything and got back to me, Nòe is my assistant and he is Half Asian Half Mexican and very handsome too I must say sincerely. I got to the company building and found Nòe already waiting for me outside the building, he was on All Black Outfit, I didn't like Suits so I encouraged my workers to dress in simple classy decent outfits than overall office wears and Nòe's favourite colour was black or so I observed about him, anyways he got into the car.

"Goodmorning Sir," Nòe greeted while putting on his seat belt.

"Morning Nòe I answered, hope you had a good night's rest I asked him while turning into the highway heading to our meeting destination...

"Yes, Sir I did," he answered me.

"That's good." We got to our destination and I parked my car and both of us went down and headed inside the building where we were attending the meeting, the meeting was held for about 3hours and the sad thing is that we couldn't conclude or reach an agreement on any of the topics we had discussed in the meeting. I was kind of frustrated because I felt like I had wasted 3hours of my day doing nothing, I left the building with Nòe and got to my car, some people were still exchanging pleasantries but I wasn't cut out for unnecessary familiarities, except its business so I keep my ties business only.

"Let's get lunch first Nòe," I told him while I hit the road heading to a Japanese restaurant, I want to eat Tempura Sushi, we got to the restaurant and I parked and checked myself out in the driving mirror, my hair was a little dishevelled, so I ran my hand through it giving it a messy vibe, Nòe was waiting for me outside the car so I stopped after one last look on the mirror and just when I closed the car, a felt a very familiar presence and I scanned my eyes around looking for where that presence was and I noticed a tall slender man leaving the shopping mall just across with another man that looked a bit familiar too and I looked closely and it was Viviano and his friend or roommate or boyfriend I didn't know their relationship but they seem close. I pondered on calling him to say hi or just ignoring him but while still pondering I looked at him when I felt his eyes on me and truly he was looking at me, he looked so delicious, that white hair of his glistening under the bright sun, he was wearing grey sweatpants and a black tee with slides, he looked like a Daddy, I waved my hand at him but he ignored me, he entered his car, shaking his head as if we had a misunderstanding or I was someone he didn't want to have anything to do with again or someone he was avoiding, I didn't understand his actions and I was confused about it, I took out my phone and tried calling him but he didn't pick up my call, I wanted to cancel lunch and follow his car, but I decided to have lunch and just follow my earlier plan of stopping by his house before going back home, I needed to ask him why he didn't respond to me and why he was at my house...

After lunch, I took Nòe back to the office, I signed a few documents, handle a few complaints and took a tour checking for damages before calling it a day. Nòe took my bags and escorted me to the car,

"Do you want me to drop you at home Nòe?" I asked him as I entered the driver's seat and fixed my seat belt,

"No, Sir, am going for drinks with my friends so they're picking me up," he replied.

"Okay then don't get too drunk," I told him and drove out and headed to Viviano's house, I got to his house and stepped out, Viviano's house had so many males living in the house, it was more like a household for males, they were barely any females around, but I had only been here once and it was night time, but it was still part of our Reservoir so I knew my way around. I went to one of the guys standing at the door and asked him about Viviano, and just when he was trying to ask my identity, the door burst open and a petite female stepped out looking at me and was smiling widely at me.

"Hi Adrian," she said pulling me in for a hug... I was confused but I hugged her back, "My name is Jade and nice to meet you," she said after letting go of me,

"Hi, Jade," I replied to her, it's nice meeting you too and my name is...ohhh yeah sorry, you know my name already,"

"You're funny, Viviano is over there," she said pointing towards the inside of the room she came out from, I looked inside and there he was. The Most Beautiful Man I had ever seen in my life, he was just standing there but he didn't seem happy to see me.
