This morning had gone pleasantly well not until the knock on the day decided to startle us, berated with questions of who might be knocking on the door, grateful that Craig had somehow locked the door when he came in to join me last night.
"I think it's Jade, but he comes we aren't picking up her scent?"
"Because your rut has engulfed the whole room," Craig responded with an eye roll, "Get dressed, we can't let her see us like this."
"She will still ask questions, you know how she is, I feel like she has already sensed something before she came to knock…"
"Just get dressed first V," He hummed, and I did as I was told at a kind of speed that will make faes jealous.
After being convinced that after I got dressed, the room didn't have so much of my rut drenching the air since my cloth might have soaked in some of the scents, Craig went to get the door and the person who stopped knocking but we could still hear them outside.
