Tears rolled down her eyes and the colors in the painting started to disappear. Slowly, the picture in the canvas fabric along with the rainwater got erased entirely. Tina couldn't understand what was going on around her. One second, the place was eye piercingly bright, and then the next second, it had turned completely dark.

She thought it was because of the tears that she was unable to see properly. She rubbed her eyes several times and then opened them wide to look at her surroundings. Still, she couldn't see anything in front of her.

"What's going on here? Is this world I am inside actually ending?" She wondered and squinted her eyes.

Nicholas had by then gone to sleep while hugging the painting in between his arms. He didn't notice that the paint in the canvas was getting washed away due to the rainwater that got spilled on the image.
