In the year 2097, humanity faced a new terror. Cities were destroyed by horrible monsters that came through the dimensional doors. To counter this new terror, humans began to awaken magical abilities and dove into the gates to destroy the oncoming waves of beasts. One student in particular became orphaned due to one of these dimensional doors. He was considered one of the weakest, and was bullied due to his inability protect himself. While being beaten up in an alley one day, the area went into chaos as a dimensional door opened, trapping him and others inside. He was face to face with death when a sudden beam of light came down. "Is this how I die?" the student thought. Waking up in a hospital later, his wounds were healed as if they were never there in the first place, and a strange screen was appearing in his vision... May 12th, 2097, the day the world was forever changed…
"Breaking News! Breaking News! We bring you shocking footage out of Manila in the Philippines, a mysterious thing has appeared in Paco Park, we have our on site reporter at the scene…"
"Hi, I bring you on site footage of what can only be described a rift that appeared overnight, for those of you viewing at home, the rift in question is not the work of special effects or cgi, it is about the size of a large van in length and it is unknown as to what its origins are or why it appeared here. Some are speculating an alien race is responsible, coming to claim the earth as their own, while others are saying that the world is coming to an abrupt end. While we may not know what exactly is the cause of this strange phenomena, the government is moving military to the site of the rift and scientists are currently attempting to study the surrounding area to see if it has had any residual effects on the environment. Unfortunately that is all I have to report at this time. Back to you at the station."

2 Days Later…
"On tonight's news, we bring an update with the strange rift that has appeared in Manila. Scientists have continued to study the appearance of the strange phenomenon. Following our last broadcast the "rift" as we have begun to call it has flickered and pulsed a few times. Scientist, Dr. Francis Zeurich, has discovered that during these pulses, the rift releases a wave of some type of new energy we have not seen before. We now got a video received by Dr. Zeurich explaining some of the breakthroughs regarding the rift"
"The waves of energy discovered coming through the rift have wavelengths and frequencies unlike anything we have seen before, and are unlike the familiar electromagnetic waves that we use such as radio and microwaves. The energy signatures they give off are exponentially larger than anything we have ever seen and if harnessed could be used to solve the energy crisis the world currently faces. The frequency of the pulses have increased as time has passed with less time in between each fluctuation. I'm hoping we in the science community can make a breakthrough soon as to the origins of this rift and new energy signature never before seen."
"As you can see, Dr. Zeurich and his team are working tirelessly to help us gain insight to the appearance of the rift, and have made great strides so far into helping us learn more about this strange occurrence. We will update you as we learn more. Now onto our next story…"
5 Days Later…
"We bring news tonight that may be disturbing to young viewers or those of you that have a weak stomach. This update coming about the "rift" that has appeared in Manila. Earlier today, the "rift" which has now been dubbed a "gate" by scientists opened and bared its fangs for the world to see. Here is some footage taken by cell phone from the scene…"
"Look at that! Look at the gate!"
"At this point in time all that can be described that crawled out of the gate is horror. Monsters resembling giant insects emerged killing and demolishing everything in their path. Numerous videos have been circulating around the internet of the creatures rampaging through the city as they make their way deeper inland. The military has taken action trying to fight back against the horde of creatures coming from the gate but modern weapons are proving to be mostly ineffective against the beasts and seems to only slow them down. The few that have been killed have been brought in for testing but no live specimens have been captured. Military and emergency forces have been sent to the scene to rescue and evacuate survivors of this tragedy and world governments have gathered to talk about what the next steps should be taken. The current death toll is estimated to number in the hundred thousands with nearly double having gone missing or sustaining injuries. The creatures seem to have an instinct to stay away from the oceans but continue to move inland, razing anything in their path. With current estimates the government estimates that with how things are continuing to unfold, the island of Luzon, where Manila is located in the Philippines may be lost by the end of the week. May god help us all…"
