We took to taking out the food. So many people had arrived. I greeted the people I knew and smiled politely at the ones I didn't. I spied Jake, Wesley and Blake near the grills while the older men walked around greeting the guests.

"At least it was a success." I said to Hannah as we carried the used dishes into the kitchen.

The party had ended on a good note. After burning the first round of burgers the guys were very focused on the other ones. At the middle of the party, Max and Ava cut a three tiered anniversary cake their children had suprised them with. Each tier representing ten years. Talk about corny. Towards the end, they thanked everyone for coming and the party was rounded off with dancing.

"Yeah, it was." Hannah replied and checked her watch.

"It's almost Fiona's bedtime. Will you be okay here?"

"Yes." She hurried inside.

I was carrying the last of the dishes when Max stopped me.
