Chp.5 The Weird Class Experience

I stood there stunned after hearing the words that left his mouth, suddenly the second method that Sophie told me at breakfast rang in my head.

'Find someone to become your master.'

My blood boiled as I glared at him with rage-filled eyes. I wanted to curse at him, fold him in a ball and kick him out of the school straight into the woods to feed him to the animals but instead as a good girl I was hammered into by my mother I acted sophisticated and put on a big smile on my face.

"Oh, that was nice of you but I would like you to please 'fuck off', away from my face before I do something you and I both would regret."

"That was feisty for a little swan," he laughed and patting my head walked away giggling in a small voice.

I clenched my fist and turned around in rage to say something to him but got interrupted by the bell, I quickly checked my schedule and hurried to my class before I got late.

The session started and a teacher entered the class, she was wearing a pink silk shirt with a big flashy bow at the neck and had her brown hair tied in a tight sleek ponytail and her light brown eyes hidden by long lashes and bold eyeliner that scanned everyone in the room.

"I see that everyone is here now...so let's begin," She spoke, her voice was sweet and delicate with a hint of rhythm to it, "I'll continue from where I left off yesterday..." she started teaching us and I was shocked.

All the people sitting in the class were the same people that acted rowdy before but the moment the class started they didn't even utter a word from their mouth, I could hardly see anyone slacking off, forget that, I could hear the breathing of the person beside me!

It would be an understatement to say that the class was drowning in Silence. It seemed like everyone was put on a death trial.

I gulped hard after noticing the nervousness on a few faces and focused ahead. The teacher walked near the podium as she taught us history, her heels made a creaking sound and her waist moved in a rhythm from left to right, if I was outside I definitely would have mistaken her for a model.

Everyone sat stiffly for the next 45 minutes till the lecture got over and only relaxed when the teacher stepped out of the class, there was no fun, no comments being passed, no pranks, and no jokes to lighten the mood.

A few packed their belongings and started moving to another but I was lucky to have my next class here so I stayed.

I was sitting by the window and our class was on the second floor but outside the windows beyond the walls, all you could see was a dense forest and tall mountains. There were no tall buildings, no vehicle sounds, no bustling of people just tranquillity.

I heard a screeching sound as someone sat beside me, the school had two seat tables but no one sat beside me in the previous class so I was curious as to who sat now.

I raised my head and turned to find Sophie sitting beside me.

"Hey there," She smiled and I smiled back at her remembering how I stormed out of the dining hall early morning. A light chuckle left my mouth when I realised I'm always running away every time I'm with her.

"Which class did you have?" I asked while she got comfortable on her seat and hung her bag to the side.

"I had maths, what about you?"

"I had history," I let out a worn-out sigh and slumped on the desk like slime, "I gotta say it was more like a survival game than a lecture, no one made a single noise can you imagine??"

"Y-You had history?" She stuttered at the start and gulped hard her face looking visibly pale as her eyes wavered for a moment.

"Yeah..." I drawled hesitantly, her reaction seemed similar to what I had seen the whole lecture on the student's faces.

"Did she give you a glare during the lecture or stared at you for more than 2 minutes?" She asked holding my hand firmly, her hands felt cold against mine and I could feel light shivers coming from her.

"Not that I remember, as you can see I was sitting at the last and the whole class was packed with tall people ahead of me.....one could hardly notice me let alone stare at me."

"Then that's a relief," she let out a load of air and got back to her comfort zone.

"Why is everyone afraid of....Miss Rowan...Rowan Wright?" I asked curiously and she looked at me contemplating whether to tell me the truth or leave it unanswered. Thankfully she chose to answer as she looked around cautiously.

"She is called Crule Succubus here,  once you get on her target list you are done for, the last time a guy angered her he disappeared for a whole week and then was found near the fountain with lots of wounds on his back and bold dark circles under his eyes...," she looked back again anxiously making sure no one was eavesdropping on our conversation,

"Don't go on her refined looks and placid mannerism she is a devil in the clothes of sheep."

The more I stayed here more I felt I have entered another world, a teacher being this cruel to her students is unexpected but at the end of the day it could have been nothing but over exaggerated rumor.

"No one took action?" I asked and she scoffed shaking her head,

"She is headmistress Burke's sister."

"Priscilla Burke.....Rowan Wright, why do they have different surnames then?" I asked as she pulled out books from her bag and placed them on the table.

"They have the same mother but different father, basically they are step sisters."

"Oh," I mouthed and removed my own books, the class filled soon and unlike the previous one this was bustling with loud noises.
