The first day at the School for Gifted Unicorns was an overwhelming but exciting experience for Starbright. The school was an impressive place, with tall marble towers and hallways filled with history. The teachers were some of the most wise and experienced magicians in Equestria, and Starbright felt honored to be there.

Twilight and Starbright were in every class together, sitting in the front row, always attentive and eager to learn. One of the first lessons was on advanced magical theory, taught by Professor Mystic Glow, an elderly unicorn with deep wisdom in her eyes.

"Welcome, students," Mystic Glow said, her voice gentle but authoritative. "Today we will begin with the fundamentals of manipulating magical energy. It is essential that you understand these basics before attempting any advanced spells."

Starbright and Twilight listened attentively as Mystic Glow explained the theory behind magical energy flows and how they channeled through unicorn horns. The class was complex, but both were determined to absorb every word.

After class, the friends headed to the library to study further. The school's library was even more impressive than the public one, with shelves that reached the ceiling and books covering every imaginable topic.

"Twilight, have you ever seen so many books?" Starbright asked, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"No, it's incredible," Twilight replied, almost trembling with excitement. "There's so much to learn here!"

One afternoon, while studying a book on protection spells, they found a passage about an ancient enchantment used to protect entire cities from magical threats.

"Look at this, Starbright," Twilight said, pointing to the passage. "This spell was used by ancient unicorns to protect Canterlot during the Dragon Wars. It's incredibly complex."

"Yeah, it looks complicated," Starbright replied, reading intently. "But it would be amazing to learn something like this. It could be very useful."

"I see you're very dedicated to your studies," she said with a smile. "What are you working on today?"

"We're trying to understand this ancient protection spell," Twilight replied, showing her the book.

Mystic Glow examined the book and nodded approvingly. "It's a very advanced spell, but I see you're making good progress. Remember, patience and practice are key in magic."

One day, during an advanced levitation practice, Twilight managed to lift several objects simultaneously with impressive precision. Starbright watched her with admiration, trying to replicate her technique.

"You're doing great, Twilight," Starbright said, concentrating on his own exercise. "How do you manage to control so many objects at once?"

"It's about focus and practice," Twilight replied, gently lowering the objects. "You have to visualize each object as part of a whole, maintaining a mental connection with each one."

Starbright nodded, trying to apply Twilight's advice. Gradually, he improved, managing to lift three objects simultaneously with greater stability.

"You did it!" Twilight exclaimed, smiling widely. "I knew you could do it."

"Thanks, Twilight. I couldn't have done it without your help," Starbright replied, feeling a surge of satisfaction.

As they continued their studies, Starbright began to notice small changes in himself. His magic became stronger and more controlled, and his confidence grew. But he also realized the importance of the responsibility that came with his abilities.

One day, Mystic Glow assigned them a special project: create a unique spell that demonstrated their understanding of magical theory and practice. Starbright and Twilight were thrilled by the challenge, knowing it would be a significant test of everything they had learned.
