Saved the Lena
Lena walked slowly down the dimly lit street, her heart still racing from the terrifying events of the day. Every sound, no matter how small, made her jump, her steps quickening with the desperate urge to reach the safety of her home. She longed for the comfort of familiar walls, to wrap herself in a blanket and shut out the horrors of the night. But as she turned the corner, a sleek black car suddenly screeched to a halt in front of her, blocking her path.
Startled, she instinctively stepped back, her breath hitching in her throat. Her pulse quickened as the driver's side window rolled down, revealing a man in a tailored suit. His expression was calm but firm, a sharp contrast to the chaos swirling inside her mind.
"Lena," the man said, his voice smooth and kind, trying to reassure her. "I'm Leo. I'm Jack's boss, and I'm here to take you back."
