Doubting Brian

When Jody tried the pasta that Brian had made, she was shocked. Everyone has their eyes on her. Because of her reaction, everyone is waiting to hear what Jody will say. She gave Brian a look.

"Why?" Brian was taken aback and asked. "Isn't it good to eat, or are there bugs in it?"

"Maybe there's another dragon's bane like the one you gave us," Loel said. He looked at Loel. "Brian, we grew up in Rivendell, so we know the food isn't like other food. You used dragon's bane to give us food and drink."

"Loel..." Jody reprimanded.

Loel didn't speak yet. Brian took a quick look at Jody and Zev.

"Did something happen when you ate the snack I gave you and drank the drink?" requested Brian. "Pardon me if..."

Loel and Zev waited to see what Brian would do. "Nothing, the cake's taste, and the juice's sweetness have just disappeared. Lemon juice is my favorite." Jody is fibbing. "I guess I'll have to change my favorite."
