Mr Collins(chapter Fourteen)

Is it really that easy?, does she expect her to forget all he has done to her?, the hurt he has inflected on her?. One thing is sure she isn't kind heart as they expect of her , she won't just kick his deeds behind the box.

"How did you get over dad's decision to walk out on us?" June's gaze meets her mom, inspecting for answers on the stiff face. Her mother's fingers rubs through her temple , as she stares her daughter's unbelievable question. She called mid in the night, requesting a meet with her mother, thinking she's in some serious issues her mom leaves for the office early informing her to meet her there. But here she's asking these questions.

'Goodness June when will you just let go of the past?'

How long has it been?.

"What's wrong now?, I thought you've settled your scandals and you're back on track. Where's this question coming from?" Her body dissolved in the twirling chair, resting an arm on the glass desk with sliver decors.

"You must have been broken to have the man you loved to choose someone else over you" of course she was hurt, but years have passed and she has learned to settle the past in dust, come what she can't get him back.

"June, honestly I haven't thought of it. He made his choice years ago and I made mine the day he chose her. There was nothing to be sad about, he wanted love and I seek power. We were just two uncompatible people compelled to stay as one."

The day they were joint as one was a frozen ice on them both, it was clear to them their union was nothing but a deal. An alliance of families of equal ,forsaking the needs or desires of their children.

If she's to be honest, she can testify of her knowledge of his feelings for the woman, she was his childhood friend and first love to whom he promised marriage. But his family didn't approve as she was from a low class family.

Against his will he was married, with the deal from his father of spearing his love off the charges he had incriminated on her family.

Aware to her on those she agreed to the marriage ,all that mattered to her was her family and that time her family business was sinking and needed the support of his family wealth. A merge alliance like that was a gate way for her, to her it was nothing of compassion.

With the years and the arrival of June she learned to love him and hoped he would forget his first love, but little she knew he was seeing her in dark.

"I've met his daughter, she's just like her" June told catching her mother on her breathe .

"And?" She dryly asked, scanning her eyes through the papers on her desk.

"I just wants to know how you felt with his rejection"

"Because you can't get over the past?, You want me to convince you that his choice is partially right?" Her mom crossed the files on each other, setting her dark gaze on her.

Perhaps her words are true and she needs her mother to talk her out of her dilemma, but she should known by now her mother isn't the compassion type or the therapist friend to chat things through.

The years she left her in the hands of nannies that she kept changing for every mistake they made, she was always busy and the time she had was spent on her work.

"I'm sorry but I can't provide that, am just not that mother. The truth still remains, your father chose his other daughter over you, he chose his illegitimate child and mistress over you, me and our family" she coldly said , melting away any hope in her heart.

.....

"How far are you on it?" Edward asked handing her a cup.

"So far ,just on the plot am yet to figure the tittle" Dora coached out ,twirling her computer screen to him, his eyes laid on it for seconds then edge his legs for the next seat.

"You said it about your friend right?"

"Yes, her and her next door Psychiatrist "

"Okay, so do they share any intimate connection " Edward's brows arched on earning a scoff off Dara.

Intimate?, that's a no no for her friend, for the years she has known June, she isn't the cozy lovely type in relationships and trust she doesn't let her heart feel love or allowed a man to get too close.

Well she's justified, her actions could be cast on her father's years acts. But again she's too strict with herself when it comes to love.

"Hell no, June is everything but intimate. She only seek career and status nothing more to it, to her he's a step up in gaining her name back" clearly she knows her friend, in their early teen she would gouged guys out that would dare to approach her, her image is wild for driving guys away and trust she knows she hasn't change .

"Then you make it happen, your story will be bald without love or romance, your character has to change her view and you as the writer has to give her a reason to"

Seriously, Dora head waved with her hands, crossing the thoughts of messing with her friend's life or emotions. She knows what's the price of messing with her, the last someone attempted to set her on a blind date he ended in a hospital.

"She will kill me" she dryly testify

"See it more as you're helping your friend, you do wants her to have a happy life with family of her own" of course she does, she has planned all their future together and how they'll exchange vows the same day , have beautiful babies and if it an opposite gender they'll betrothed them, to which June protested and wished her the best to her fantasies.

"Fine, I'll help her realize her love for him . That if she has any" she tastelessly adds , signing her arms for his straight chin.

"Mr Collins"

Dora's eyes captures the man that stands fit in the dark suit with thick portfolio in hand, he crossed his steps in reach for Edward, who's fingers are in grip of his nose, flushing a sigh.

She tries to interpret his dull state with the weird man entrance but pictured nothing.

"Who's Mr Collins?, there's no Mr Collins here" Dora said to the man in dark .

"But he's right…" the dark suit man silenced out with a glance of Edward's eyes shutting down, his finger laid glued to his lips then flushed away the second Dora sent a view at him.

"Uh, what were you saying?. It felt like you were pointing him to be Mr Collins " her stiff eyes meets Edward, fishing a reaction off his face.

"Uh…"

"I think you should be going to work on how to get your friend and her Psychiatrist together" Edward cuts in saving the man from detective Dora.

"Okay, see you tomorrow" she waved him a flat smile.

"Sorry boss, I wasn't aware that's her" Mr dark suit weakly spilled out with a lower head.

"It good, she didn't figure anything. Why are you here?" he asked setting his tables to the right proportion, gaging his ears for his assistant respond.

"Your father called, he isn't pleased with your idea of winning over your fiancée heart before marriage. He feels you're waisting time and money and it best to just have her family force her to the alliance"

"Have my fiancee forced to a vow ceremony is what I don't stand for. The reason I took up this disguise in the first place is to have her love me for me and not because our families ordered it. I want a love marriage not a compromise marriage" Edward said taking a moment of silence.

The day he got a call from his mother telling of her long time fiance dissatisfaction toward the wedding and merge of companies he felt hurt, as he had fall for her without meeting her. Her photo was an attract to his heart, warming the soul to desires of a happy love marriage. He didn't want her to despise him ,so he went in for her likes.

He knew of Dora's identity and that she is his fiance that flee off, but intend to change her mind and win her heart.

"My dad won't understand the language of love" no doubt, he grew up watching his father focus only on business and money. He vowed to himself never to be a man like his father that values not love or family.

His mother's loneliness and cold feelings taught him to be a better man .

With years he took over the family company after buying a major of the company's shares , compelled his father to step down his seat, handing him the power over everything. These sent bad blood between him and his father, which he cares little about as he sees him as a heartless man with huge ego.

"Also you have a meeting with the Greys" he informed grabbing documents from the portfolio.

"These are the documents you requested for"

"Thank you" he grasped the documents, skimming through the first that's on the top.

"And Jay, have all the employees to read her new novel, no excuse it mandatory" he said with a wink.

"Tittle?"

"My Mr Psychiatrist"

...…

"June "

Her eyes fade on the man infront of her. Her hands pushed for her ankles, easing the discomfort that stings in from the hours of fit in the tight heels.

"June, it really is you" her slim body shadows in the huge arms that grasped her in its warmth. Her eyes edged up for the sunny face that sends familiar feelings.

"Do you know each other" Linda asked sneaking a way for June to grab a relief off his clutch. Her eyes met the night moon eyes for the third roll, clocking a memory to her hands forcing his body to the open.

"shit" her hand reached for her lips in sound of the dull hiccups , damn she is in trouble.

"Yes we do, don't we June?"
