Prologue

Aina-kan was from a well paid family and she also loved to read. At the age of 2 she could say sentences fluently, and at the age of 7 she won her seventh gold medal for a beautiful painting she made. The painting was of a young woman sitting in a grassy field full of dandelions, and at 18 she's and has been proposed to by at least 17 different guys every day. Now she's 20 and has had and has done all of those things many times.

Many people said she would make a man happy one day; but Aina-kan had one problem, she doesn't know what love feels like or what it will bring to her. She thinks she will never find love or true happiness, after all she is starting to become depressed.

"Aina-kan dear, can you help me?"

"Mother, you need me?"

"Yes dear." Aina-kan's mother calls back to her.

Aina-kan walks delicately over to her mother. And she sees that her mother is caring baskets, many baskets. They were full of fruit and white rice.

"How may I help you, my mother?"

"I need you and your brother to carry these over to Miss Yuina and your friend Nikawa."

"Yes mother, I'll go get the eldest now."

The eldest son, Genji-kan was a tall handsome man with long black hair that was up in a ponytail. Many women were fond of him. He was 27 and was engaged to a girl named Ai-kan. Aina-kan had to call her Miss Ai though. He loved Ai-kan with all his heart. Aina-kan did not understand this.

"Mother needs us to give these to Nikawa and Miss Yuina."

"All right." Said Genji-kan, with no emotion.

Genji-kan and Aina-kan walk over to Miss Yuina's first, she was the closest to their house.

"It's getting dark." Aina-kan said after she and her brother left Nikawa-kan's house.

"You're right." he said flatly.

As they walked home the sky darkened into a deep blue. Out of know where someone grabbed Aina-kan and held a knife at her neck. Her brother Genji ran.

"Brother!" Aina-kan called in despair.

Her brother was a coward.
