That woman

Maya walked across the parking lot to meet her chauffeur,as she thought of all that happened that day,she and Damon are going to get engaged and Adira is in pain.This is like the best day ever,could it get any better

when she reached a spot of the parking lot that was reserved for her car,she saw that her chauffeur hasn't arrived,'that's weird!'she thought and looked around thinking that he must have parked somewhere else,then she saw a guy leaning on a ferrari.

"ivor"Maya exclaimed happily and immediately ran towards him,the guy looked up even though he had been watching her since she entered the parking,he didn't go to her cause he wanted to surprise her.

"ivor!"she exclaimed again leaping into his arms as he caught her"hey you"he said chuckling a bit as ge inhaled her sweet scent.

"i missed you so much"she said hugging him more tighter afraid to let him go,"i missed you too"he replied stroking her hair softly,placing his chin on top of her hair.

after a while of them hugging each other,ignoring those that stared at them they finally ended the hug.

"dude,you've been gone for over a year and only called me for a few times which were always shortlived,what happen"she complained with pouted lips as she stared at him waiting for an explanation.

"maya,you know how my dad doesn't like me doing other things when working,so that's why I called less but that's in the past,i came to pick you up from school so that we could hangout,we have lots of things to talk about and also DO"he said with emphasis on the'do'.

"really!"she squealed excitedly"ooh,i can't wait,come on let's go"

seeing her excitement he couldn't help but chuckle s little as he opened the door for her and she got in smiling excitedly not bothering whether her chauffeur could come later,he got in his car and then drove off.

After her work shift at a five-star hotel she worked in ended,Adira went to a local grocery store to get some groceries before heading home.

After walking for ten minutes and being stopped constantly by guy's who offered to carry her groceries for her,not helping her being their true intentions,she finally reached the small but cute house her and her father lived in.

she walked to the front porch,took out her keys and opened the door.she entered in and closed the door placing her keys on top of a side table,she removed her shoes and walked lazily to the kitchen placing it on top of a small kitchen island before walking to her father's room,not seeing him in the living room.

'he must be sleeping'she thought and sighed before entering her father's room.

she walked towards his bed and sat at the edge watching him sleep,she leaned forward and kissed him gently on his forehead,she leaned back holding his hand and watched his chest rise and fall.

After a little while,he woke up and smiled seeing Adira by his side"when did you get back"he asked with a weak tone,his mouth being dry a little as they were chapped.

she quickly reached for some water on a table next to bed and sat him up.

he got up and rested his head on the bed rest with the little strength he had and drank the water adura gave to him.

"are you feeling better now"she asked worriedly"yes,am good,don't worry about me,am fine"he said that trying to assure but her still worried gaze told him that she didn't believe him

He sighed and held her hand looking into his daughter's face"dear,i know you care for me,but I want you to focus on your finals and graduating college"he paused for a while before continuing"you know that all I want for you"he said with teary eyes as he looked at her with proud eyes

Adira couldn't help but feel emotional and teased a little"just to see me finish school,don't you want to see me successful"

He smiled a little hearing that

"of course,I want to see you become successful,and i know you will achieve all your dream in the near future"Adira broke into sobs and hugged her father with him hugging her back as he placed his hand on her back as tears from his eyes fell on his cheek as he thought of Ava,his wife.

After a while,her tears died down as she said"you know dad,if you hadn't giving up your dreams for that woman,you would have to college and maybe if you stopped thinking about her,you wouldn't be sick"

He stayed quiet for a while before he responded"she is still your mother"

she scoffed hearing him say the word mother and she pulled away from the hug"dad,you and I know that she thinks of me as a mistake and I don't think of her as my mother or that she has some importance in my life,she is nothing but the person who have birth to me,nothing else"
