TWENTY- NINE

Rose asked Lucy if she had heard of me and Lucy said with tears in her eyes,"No I haven't."

Just then the doorbell rang.

Tommy!

They both rushed to the door and saw...

"Clark."Lucy said.

"Hey there gorgeous."He said.

"What have you done with my daughter?!"Lucy demanded.

"Oh she's fine, she's right here."Mr Nelson said.

His brother moved out of the way and Lucy yelled,"Lucille!"

She was about to run to her but Mr Nelson's brother pointed a pistol at her then she stopped. Mr Nelson said,"Now you know I mean business, I have a few things I want you to do for me."

Rose asked,"First, where's Tommy?"

He said,"Oh, why he died."

Rose yelled,"Liar!"

He said,"You can ask Lucille if you want."

Lucille nodded with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Rose fell on her knees then screamed and Mr Nelson said,"Waa, waa, boo hoo, your boyfriend's dead, you'll join him soon, now back to business. I want you to sign off all the triplets' inheritance to me."

Lucy hesitated then Mr Nelson's brother pulled back the banger.

Lucy went and took the deed then signed it off to him. She said,"Now give me my daughter."

"Woah, woah, woah, hold your horses, we're not done."He said.

Lucy hugged Rose and said,"What more do you want?!"

He said,"A kiss."

Lucy dropped her jaw as she looked at him and asked,"What?"

He said,"Hey, it's not for nothing Mark fell in love with you, now pucker up."

Lucy had no other choice, she kissed him.

When she pulled back, he licked his lips then said,"Tasty."

The he gave Lucille back to her and said,"Now if you want to continue living in this mansion, don't resist a devilishly handsome guy like me and also, don't run, cause I'll find you."

Lucille cried in Lucy's arms and they left.

Lucy took Rose inside and Rose was mourning, then she suddenly stopped and said,"Wait, he's lying, my Tomcat is still alive!"

Lucille said,"I'm sorry, I saw it myself, he shot him twice then kicked him down a waterfall."

Rose burst into tears.

A few days later...

Mr Nelson walked into the Lightning flash skyscraper and the staff were shocked to see him. He showed them the deed then went back to his office and reclined then said,"Ahh, it's good to be back."

At that moment I woke up...

I sat up abruptly and looked around...

Where am I?

I felt a sharp pain in my side and looked at my bandaged abdomen. I was also bandaged on my shoulder and arm.

How did this happen?

Just then, someone said,"Hello handsome."

My reflexes kicked in and I held her in a headlock with my other hand raised in the air, ready to strike her neck.

I calmed down when I realized what I was doing and apologized. She got up and said,"Who are you?"

I looked at my hands then said,"I...I don't know. I don't remember anything."

She said,"I found you seriously wounded at the base of a waterfall while I was picking mushrooms... you have been slipping in and out of consciousness since."

I tried to stand up but I yelped in pain then fell. She helped me stand up and said,"You're in no shape to be walking around, I'll get you some food."

She left.

I was having a splitting headache which just added to the pain I felt all over.

She came with some mushroom soup then placed it in front of me and said,"Enjoy."

I looked at it for several seconds before fetching a spoonful and slurping it.

I stopped eating halfway through when I realized she was staring at me.

I asked,"Is anything wrong?"

She answered,"Oh no, it's just I haven't ever seen anyone better looking than you."

I widened my eyes in shock. I knew I was handsome but I still felt subconscious everytime someone said it.

I just tried to continue eating, mostly because I was starving but she kept staring and that made me uncomfortable. I asked her,"Don't you have anything to do?"

"Yes I do..."

Phew.

"To keep you company."

Dang it!

"Oh, I just realized that I've lost my appetite."I said.

"Oh, it's because of me, isn't it? My friends are right! I do everything excessively and push everyone away, I'm a nuisance."

"No you aren't and you don't, I just lost my desire to eat, that's all."

"Should I bring you something else?"

"No!... excuse me, no."

She didn't leave then I asked,"I want to take a nap, can I please be left alone?"

"Sure, I'll get you a pillow."

"No!... excuse me, no."

She nodded then left.
