SIXTY- FIVE

A few weeks later...

The kittens had grown a little and had gotten their fur. Most of them were light grey with deeper grey stripes like their mother, but two were grey with white splashes and the last one was pure white.

I put name tags on all of them;

The six grey ones were Ash Junior, Ashley, Ashlyn, Grey, Grayson and Greystone.

The two with both colours were Kitty and Kitten.

The pure white one—which was Olivia's favorite by the way—was Whitney.

Ms Lucy came back from acting the movie, she wasn't done, but they weren't going to make any new episodes for a few weeks.

Lucille was also done with her world tour and came home two days after her mother.

She came to the airport with her security guards holding her luggage for her then she saw someone standing with an ipad with her name on it. She ran and hugged the person and said,"It's been too long Tommy."

"I know right."I said.

We took her to the car and Mark drove us to my place, where there was a welcome party waiting for her.

She squealed and ran to enjoy.

She was given many gifts and my gift to her was Ashley the kitten. She was almost killed by all it's cuteness as it rolled around in her hands and she thanked me.

Mark gave her a small, violet box and she opened it. She was awestruck to see the emerald necklace. Tears poured out of her eyes and she hugged him.

Olivia helped her put it on and took her to her room to dress her for the party.

She came back and was unrecognizable. She looked much more beautiful than usual, with the violet dress she was wearing. It had diagonal sisters and had flowers all over it, with silver filigrees bordering the flower petals.

The belt was golden with a scarlet bow to the right.

Her hair was french braided with a rose at the top.

She glided down the stairs, she had inherited her mother's flawless walk and used it at that moment.

Mark and I smiled as the two girls walked down.

Just at that moment, a car pulled over at the gate and the person ran into the house, the guards couldn't stop them...

Lucille reached the bottom of the stairs with Olivia and the crowd cleared to let them pass. The moment they got to Mark and me, the door burst open and...it was Ms Lucy, and she didn't look happy.

"How dare you do something like this?!"She yelled.

She walked toward Mark and slapped him across the face. He turned back to her but didn't retaliate.

She said,"Stay away from my daughter, or else...you will have to deal with me."

She dragged Lucille out of the party and the guests were shocked. I knew Ms Lucy didn't like Mark but this was a little took far.

After the party, Olivia and I went to Mark to see if he was okay. He was, though he was angry.

I went to my room and opened my Twitter account then was shocked by what I saw there. Ms Lucy had just posted and the post said she was taking Lucille to some boarding school in Japan!

I didn't want Lucille to leave!

Why was Ms Lucy acting like this?

The next day, I pretended to be sick so I wouldn't get any lessons then snuck out my room window.

I rode my skateboard to Lucille's mansion and went through the gate. I heard yelling and ran to the living room.

I saw Lucille and Ms Lucy yelling at each other.

"Mom, I don't want to go to school in Japan, all my friends are here, Tommy's here, Olivia's here, Mark's here."

"And that's exactly why I'm taking you away, I don't want you being around that jerk, he'll make you just like him."

"Kind, caring, considerate, isn't that how every parent wants their child to be?"

"Lucille he's a liar."

"That was years ago mom! Why can't you just get over it?!"

"Do not raise your voice with me young lady."

"Why not?! You've been holding a grudge for years and you just made a scene at my welcome party!"

"Lucille, he didn't ask me if he could throw you a party."

"That's why you slapped him?! In public?! Mom, what is going on with you?"

"Just shut up and go to your room!"

Lucille cried angry tears and I thought it couldn't get any worse, but...I was wrong.

Ms Lucy stopped Lucille and held the necklace and said,"I didn't buy this for you, who gave it to you?"

"... Tommy did."

"Stop lying to me."

"...Mark did."

Ms Lucy frowned and pulled it off her neck. It tore and Lucille broke down in tears then ran out of the room.

Ms Lucy dropped the necklace in the trash and sat down on the couch, I couldn't take it any longer so I went forward.

"Ms Stone?"

She looked at me then said,"Oh Tommy, what a pleasure to have you here, how much of that did you hear?"

"... everything."

She looked down and I asked,"Why are you acting like this? What's going on?"

"It's Mark, how could he just take my only daughter away like that without asking me? I was worried."

"But we called you several times and you didn't pick up, so we left you a voicemail."

"That didn't give him the right to kidnap her like that."

"Ms Lucy, but why are you taking Lucille away, don't you think I'd be miserable?"

"Tommy, you have Olivia, I just want what's best for Lucille. That school is far better in many ways than her old one."

"Ms Lucy... please, you know what you're doing is not right."

She looked at me, it seemed like she was surprised... until she burst into tears.

I asked what was wrong and she said,"I'm not doing this because of Mark."

"Then why are you doing this?"

"It's because of what Greg did, he was arrested, just on our wedding day."

"I thought you had gotten over it."

"No I haven't, how can I? Your wedding day is supposed to be the best of your life but mine was the worst!"

I patted her back and said,"I'm sorry, but you don't have to inflict your anger on other people."

She nodded then stood up and said,"Lucille isn't going anywhere."

I smiled as she made her way up the stairs.

I stood outside the door and heard Lucille sobbing. Ms Lucy apologized and said she wasn't going but Lucille didn't stop crying...it's just they were tears of joy now.

The two hugged and cried then Ms Lucy got up with Lucille and drove me home.

Only Olivia had realized I was missing, but I hugged her and told her not to worry.

Ms Lucy stayed till Mark came back and went to him.

"What are you doing in my house?!"Mark yelled.

"I wanted to apologize for how I acted last night."

"Would an apology change what happened? Would an apology comfort all those people you scared? If you really want my forgiveness, I'd advice you to apologize to all the one hundred and three people who were at the party."

And she did just that. She went to each of their houses and apologized then went back to Mark and asked,"Now can we get back to normal bickering?"

Mark was speechless but he nodded.

Ms Lucy also payed a lot to get the necklace fixed and gave it back to Lucille. The girl was so happy when that happened.
