Chapter 73: Acquiring A Trump Card

Obed was in the room resting when Michael asked Obed a question while he was in bed. "Obed, can you defeat your brother?" "Why did you ask that question?" Obed asked. "From the looks of things, you're a lighting user and a god," Michael said. "Your brother is a water stalker who hasn't been a god yet," he continued. "This is going to be a tough match," replied Chris who was listening to his talk. "Don't worry guys," Obed said. "I'm going to win for sure," Obed replied. Soon, the siren blared for light and everyone went to sleep.

"Obed, Obed," said a voice.

"Who's there?" Obed asked as he ran down the hall.

"It seems that you have forgotten the voice of this Obed person," said the voice.

Obed then turned around and saw Joyce standing next to him.

"It's been a while, Obed," Joyce said. As soon as Joyce said that, she jumped on Obed, causing Obed to wake up in the middle of the night.

"What did I just witness," said Obed. It's a dream, isn't it? Obed thought. Obed left the room and went to the bathroom to splash water on his face.

When Obed got to the bathroom, he turned on the sink and splashed Obed in the face. As soon as Obed jerked his head to look in the mirror, he noticed something unusual but he couldn't tell what it was. Obed then looked in the mirror and saw Joyce. Obed turned around and noticed that no one was with him in the bathroom.

"What do you want?" Obed asked. "I heard you're going to fight your brother," Joyce replied. "Do you know where your fight is being held?" Joyce asked. Obed was silent, then replied, "Why do you want to know all this?" "Don't lose Life Sucker," Joyce said. "Because I'll be back," he continued. As soon as Joyce said those words, she was never seen in the mirror again. "What was that all about?" Obed thought.

"The next morning, Michael and Chris woke up to find Obed's bed empty. Chris then ran to where the girls have been sleeping and found Angel, Linda, and Florencia. "Obed is missing," Chris said. The group decided to inspect the school if they could find Obed, but he was nowhere to be found. Miss Pearl then arrived on the scene and said to Chris, "Obed has left the school to a hidden place in the valley." "What about Miss Pearl," Linda asked. "Who knows," said Miss Pearl. "My only concern is whether or not he'll come back alive," she continued. "Why is Obed going there?" Florence asked. "Because of Joyce." Miss Gloria said as she burst in.

"But I thought Joyce was dead," Florence asked. "She's dead alright, but she still communicates with former demon princes and kings," Miss Gloria said. Meanwhile, Obed was on his way to the valley. The place was a desert full of human bones and other animal bones. Finally, Oved reached his destination. It was a cave that only those with a higher level can venture into. "What do you plan to do master?" Magnus asked. "Don't worry, I'll be fine," Obed replied. Obed then used his lightning ability to break through the cave entrance. Then Obed entered.

When Obed entered, he found many crystals in the cave. "Crystals?" Magnus said. "This is not correct," said Obed. Obed then went a little further and then stopped. "Why did you stop dominating," said Magnus. Obed then told Magnus to watch and inspect the bottle that was in the glass. His system began to observe and inspect and then he replied, "What's inside is a drink that contains the cursed attribute," said Magnus. "This attribute was used by many people who considered it dangerous," said Magnus. "So this was hidden in this cave for a long time," Magnus continued. Obed then reached out his hand towards the bottle. As soon as he reached out his hand a large snake appeared. "What's that", asked Obed. " That's the keeper of the cursed attribute.

Back in the school, Miss Pearl then felt a strong feeling. "It can't be", said miss Pearl. "Yes, but it is", said sir Ben. "What's going on?", asked Chris. "This is no time to explain.", said Miss Pearl. "I felt the feeling too", said Chris. "It's the protector of the cave.", said miss Pearl. "It seems there a valuable treasure in that cave.", said miss Gloria. "Don't tell me Obed is after....", said Miss Pearl. "Florence, Linda, Angel, Chris, and Michael, summon all the students to the ground floor now", commanded miss Pearl. The group agreed and left to see the students. "I thought legends said it never existed but it exists.", said miss Pearl. " All is up to you, Obed.", said miss Pearl.

Back in the cave, Obed was been drawn back by a large snake who was is the protector of the cave. Obed then looked at the snake and noticed that the snake also has a large amount of the cursed attribute. Soon a message appeared in Obed's system.

Kill the Snake.

"Well, that sure looks harsh", said Obed. Soon Obed activated his electric ability. After activating, he raced towards the snake but something surprising occurred. " The snake then used its cursed attribute and cursed Obed with it. Obed began to feel weaker and his movements were slower. The snake then used its tail to hit Obed as he went backward. "What kind of ability is that", said Obed. " It's the cursed attribute", said Magnus. "It ability is to curse opponents speed to make them slower.", said Magnus. " Is it only their speed", asked Obed. "No, but their abilities as well", said Magnus. Obed then thanked Magnus and looked at the snake. "I've been able to figure out your power Mr. Snake.", shouted Obed. " This time, I won't hold a back", said Obed. The snake then raised it head and looked at Obed. Obed had no option than to use his fathers ability. Obed again activated his electric ability once more and some the whole cave started to collapse. Even the school felt the effect of Obed's ability. After activating, Obed then said to the snake "are you ready?". As soon as Obed said that, he leaped up in the air and was ready to strike.
