Making a Move

Yang Yuan glared at her and said in a low voice, "Ning Yao, how can you be so shameless? You're not willing to marry me, but you're sleeping with someone else? Can anyone just treat you like a public bus?"

"Don't be afraid, I'm here." said the man gently as he touched Ning Yao's cheek with his palm.

Ning Yao opened her mouth and was about to say something, but her eyes suddenly widened.

"Be careful!"

Yang Yuan, who had fallen to the ground, had already gotten up, furious that he had been punched by Clarence. He had lost his mind and was ready to fight back as he threw a fierce punch at Clarence.

With his back to Yang Yuan, Clarence didn't see Yang Yuan's attack, but he dodged it as if he had predicted it.

Before Ning Yao could react, Clarence had already kicked Yang Yuan's body.

He did not hold back at all and the sound of bones breaking in that instant was particularly terrifying.

Clarence was about to make another move, but Ning Yao quickly stopped him.

She didn't expect Clarence's strength and speed to be so terrifying, and she was afraid that if Clarence attacked again, Yang Yuan would be dead.

He lowered his head to hold her tightly. As he did so, Ning Yao managed to have a good look into his eyes. His irises were originally light gold, but they were now glowing brighter as his pupils had become vertical slits as if he was a cold-blooded beast in the forest.

However, in just a moment, Clarence's eyes returned to normal and Ning Yao almost thought that she had seen it wrong.

"Are you alright? Where did he touch you just now?" asked Clarence as he held her.

Ning Yao shook her head. "I'm fine."

When the school's security arrived, Yang Yuan was still wailing in pain on the ground. The security guards quickly called for an ambulance to take him away.

After that, Ning Yao went to the police station with Clarence. At first, she was very nervous, worried that this matter would not be resolved so easily.

However, to her surprise, Clarence came out less than five minutes later and calmly said, "I'll send you back to your dormitory."

"You're fine? Don't you need to take a statement or something?" Ning Yao's eyes widened.

"There were a lot of students around at that time, and they can testify that the man harassed you first. As for me injuring him, it was also legitimate self-defense, because he was the one who attacked me first." Clarence explained patiently as he was afraid that Ning Yao would be worried.

Ning Yao nodded and walked out of the police station with Clarence.

After the two of them left, the security guard in the police station looked at the person next to him with a long face. "How did you offend two big shots all of a sudden? How are we going to explain to President Yang?"

When Clarence came in, they had planned to scare him and then push all the responsibility to him.
