Chap 20:- Millieous
Master Robert and Grandpa Hyun took Zeno and Alisha to the best place where they can find themselves a beast to tame, a small forest which was filled with many small beasts.
"Why are we looking in the forest? We can just pick one from the main nesting area." Alisha asked, frustrated because of their long travel.
"We can't pick them from the nesting area, the baby beasts over there are too small and they are protected by their parents and believe me each one of them can give their lives to defend their babies, but when the babies grow a week old they are big enough to go out and hunt for themselves and protect themselves so they are left in the forest.
" I get it..." Alisha walked forward with master Robert.
"So... Tell me Alisha what type of beast do you want?" Master Robert asked with excitement.
"Hmm... What kind of beast... I don't know... Maybe one that can fly and is super strong?" Alisha replied wondering what type of beast best suited her.
"Oh, then why don't we get a dragon which can use more than one type of mana?" Master Robert turned toward Alisha and waited for her reply.
"Yeah! Great!" Alisha was hyped to get a strong beast for herself.
"What about you Zeno?" Master Robert turned towards Zeno.
"Me... I want someone who will always stay by my side and... Protect me...?" Zeno replied in a low tone but he was yet audible to others.
"Oh, I get it... Why don't you get a Blackconda? He will always stick by your side and it has strong dark mana, but the drawback is that its strength depends on its owner, and due to its constant hunts its number has decreased a lot. And others get killed by other beasts." Master Robert pointed towards a deeper part of the forest.
"We can find one there if we are lucky." Master Robert patted Zeno.
"Let's go."
He continued, "Hyun, Take Alisha to the pack of Frozen-Blaze pack." He turned towards grandpa Hyun and asked him to help out with Alisha.
"Frost-Blaze pack? What's that?" Alisha was confused at hearing such a weird name.
"It's a pack of dragon beasts that possess Fire and Ice mana, there was fifteen last time I came which was ten years ago, I hope numbers have increased." Grandpa Hyun started bedding to the other part of the forest.
"Ok, then we will meet at the main nesting area at midnight, and don't hunt more than one beast." Master Robert walked to the deeper forest with Zeno.
Master Robert and Zeno we're hunting Blackconda and Grandpa Hyun and Alish we're hunting Frost-Blaze.
"So... How are we supposed tame beasts?" Zeno asked to master Hyun as they went deeper into the forest.
"We have to fight and show them we are stronger." Master Robert walked forward chopping off vines which were getting in their way.
"F... Fight??" Zeno flinched on hearing he would have to fight to tame the beast.
"Yeah, beasts won't give themselves to you, would they?" Master Robert replied with a casual smile on his face.
"B... But I can't fight... I'm weak." Zeno couldn't even defeat a kid who is a year younger than him, defeating a beast is a dream in a dream.
"Well as I told you before the Blackconda's are weak when they are born."
"And if anything goes wrong you will have me by your side." Master Robert gently patted Zeno on his back and moved forward.
"Ok..." Zeno was no more worried.
"Master Robert I have a question..." Zeno was confused about something.
"Yes go on." Master Robert kept on moving forward.
"Can Blackconda possess two manas?"
"Nope, it possesses only Drak mana."
"Oh..." Zeno was disappointed to hear that.
"Haha, don't worry Zeno, in beasts if they possess two manas their physical bodies become weak, the more types of mana they possess it hampers their physical strength." Master Robert saw right through his eyes he was not happy to hear that his beast can't possess two manas.
"Oh! So that means it will be super strong??" Zeno was excited again to meet his new beast.
"Haha, yeah it can crush anyone, but there's a catch its strength depends on your strength." Master Robert was happy to see him overjoyed again.
"Yeah, and I will become stronger when I get my second ability." Zeno was not disappointed by the least to know his beast's strength depends on his strength.
'As far as I remember, Zeno was born with only one ability and a second ability... It's almost once in a million to get a second ability after birth.' Master Tobert was concerned about Zeno but he knew he can't defeat his father the current leader of Danes, even if he had two times the strength he has now.
"Let's find it quickly this shouldn't be hard." Master Robert sat in a lotus position and started concentrating on his dark aura, and slowly started pouring it into the ground.
"Zeno sit in front of me and touch the ground with your thumbs."
"Yes, master!" Zeno sat down and pointed his thumbs at the ground.
Instead of a dark aura, he started infiltrating the ground with his pink aura. And soon his aura suppressed master Robert's aura.
'What the heck?! He is filling the wrong aura, and his aura is more versatile than mine?? I can't believe...' Master Robert was truly surprised on seeing his aura being dominated.
"Zeno stop!" Master Robert decided to stop him as soon as possible before he scare away all the BlackConda babies.
"Oh..." Zeno stopped pouring his aura and then sat straight.
"Listen, remember all the tough times you went through, what tortures and hard things you went through, that will activate your dark aura and then you fill the ground with your dark aura." Master Robert explained to him what he was doing wrong.
"Oh..." Zeno pointed their thumb again on the ground and tried to remember all the things he had to go through.
Master Tobert decided to have a peek into his aura, but before he could do that, the dark aura started spilling all out from his body, it slowly covered all of his body.
'That thing... It's soo thick... I can barely breathe...' Master Robert couldn't help but stop to pour his aura into the ground and started protecting himself.
Zeno placed his finger on the ground, and within a second all the pink aura which was present evaporated and the dark aura started filling the place.
"Zeno you can stop now it's enough, we will be able to get out hands on the Blackconda."
"Ok..." Zeno slowly released his concentration and all the dark aura present inside him got suppressed soon enough it vanished and got covered by his pink aura.
'His aura is incredible...' Master Robert wondered as he saw the dark turn darker and darker every second.
After a few seconds, a small head started peeking out of the ground.
"Hisssss!!!"
A small black coloured snake six inches in length jumped out of the hole and started hissing.
"Look! It's Blackconda! I thought it would take us longer." Master Robert was really surprised to encounter a Blackconda within an hour of their arrival.
"So how do I catch it?" Zeno got to his feet and faced it with his hands trying to defend himself if it attacks him.
"It will accept you if you defeat him and he will give you a mark, so don't worry. And fight it." Master Robert pushed Zeno close to the Blackconda.
"What!!!-"
"Hisssss~~"
Blackconda jumped on Zeno and bit his finger.
"Ouch!! It hurts!" Zeno exclaimed feeling the intense pain.
In reality, it was trying to take Zeno's dark aura, Blackcondas possess a special ability to taste the dark aura of people and select their master accordingly.
"Hisssss~~" It gently licked Zeno's blood-covered fingers. And gently wrapped around his finger.
"What happened..." Zeno was surprised to see a sudden change in his nature.
"Congratulation! It's your first beast, now go on give it some name." Master Robert clapped on seeing him tame his first beast it brought back bus memories of when he tamed his first beast.
"Name... I think... Millieous."
