~ Dave Pov ~
I pulled hard at my hair as the golden loosed stands fell off. Man I was slightly losing it. Suddenly I paused, a light yellow bulb going off in my head. This was like another Eureka! moment. Damn! Even Archimedes didn't have this twice in his life.

"Alright! I think I got my first mission completed." I said to myself as I stared at the blank pages in my hands.
"Ain't no way I'm getting fooled alone."
Quickly I closed the book, folded it and stucked it inside my clothe. The thick pages pushed the side of my jacket as it clearly showed I was hiding something.
I pulled it out and quickly glanced at the four corners of the office.
'Good, no cameras.'
Immediately I opened the principal door slowly and peeped outside. The hall way leading to his office was completely silent and absence of human presence. Quietly I shut it closed and proceeded to start undressing.
No I'm not mad. But desperate times calls for desperate measures.
With a tape gotten from the principal cabinet, I used it to hold the book on my back. Round and round I continued until the thick book was strapped to my back like a leech. I smiled proudly at my work done even though I couldn't see it. But I bet it was like a little book proof vest.
I wore my clothes back quickly and sat down. I didn't pick anything else from the office, simply because I didn't have somewhere to hide it. Though I did consider this a fruitful outing, Miss Gloria, thank you for sending me here!
But then my slippery fingers couldn't just stop at one more, and so with the urge in my heart I picked his ash tray. Don't know why I choosed that one.
Soon enough he walked in with some guests and quickly dismissed me as they were not enough chairs for the visitors, four were seated and one was still standing. I was happy though, no interrogation and I get to leave with my loot. Funny enough I did him a favour, by stealing his ash tray.
Just as I walked out of the room, the smooth skinned head teacher pulled me into her arms.
"Woah! woah!.."
I steadied myself to avoid falling into her not so impressive bossoms.
"Did you remove the ash tray ?" She asked me with a look of concern.
"Ash tray?" Feigning ignorance was a specialty of mine.
"Yes the ash tray."
"It's illegal to smoke in the school ma'am." I replied.
"So you didn't see anything ?" She asked.
"My hair is too bright to be seeing anything not close by ma'am."
I mean, I didn't know why I said that, but the moment I uttered those words, she quickly glanced at my hair and fondled it rather too affectionately, like it was hers.
"Alright kiddo, off to class." She said with a smile as I looked at her with a questioning gaze.
"No offense ma'am, but I'm eighteen. If we weren't in school, I could take you out to dinner."
I said before proudly walking out, my back straighter than a slab of concrete.
She was completely stupefied as she stared at his too straight back.
"Who's this ?"
I walked back into the class with a standing ovation from the guys.
"Damn, the man of the hour is back!"
"Walked into the lions den and you're back!"
"Bro! Change your name to Daniel!"
"Thieves are always slippery!" You can guess who said that. I turned towards Cynthia who hissed like she was the human variant of the serpent. Quickly I walked away before it became more than just a hiss. I had a feeling that one day she would bite me.
"I have got to hand it to you mate, you played it well." Josh said to me with a bright smile on his face and yet another bottle in his hand.
"No, no, no, mate get away from me."
I quickly stood up as he began to laugh out loudly.
"It's just water man, relax." He showed me the bottle as I settled down into my seat and sighed deeply.
"Want a sip?"
"You know it's going to be more than that, probably a gulp." I replied as I quickly took the bottle that was offered to me, my throat, dry and thirsty.
"Knock yourself out bro, you deserve it."
Damn right I did.
Placing the lid of the bottle close to the top of my mouth, I tipped the bottle as the seemingly colourless liquid flowed down my mouth, passing my throat with a burning sensation, while the flavours stung my taste buds.
Murtherfurker!
I swallowed down the remaining in a huge gulp as I dropped the bottle on the table.
I looked at Josh, his eyes gleaming and showing the laughter he was desperately trying to hold back.
"Never knew water could give a brother conflicting emotions." He said to me before suddenly letting loose, laughing his head off.
And he was right. I wondered for a brief moment if I should punch him in the face, or scream at him like ladies do, or report him to Miss Gloria and the principal. The first wasn't feasible as it would be foolish of me to pick a fight with a Barbarian, one obviously stronger than me. I couldn't see his stats but I could sense he wasn't one to be underestimated. And the second option was out of it, I was not a Christiana. And lastly, the third option. I mean everyone the saying that goes, a thief can't be trusted, not even his own words. Wait a minute, isn't that quote for liars ?
But anyways, the next thing I did was something I didn't even expect myself to do. I picked up the bottle and tipped the whole contents into my mouth as my throat bulged form gulping the rapidly flowing liquid. The class behind us grew quiet, while we were oblivious to our surroundings.
Josh eyes brightened like a happy baby's own as he clapped his hands slowly till I was done and dropped the bottle on the desk with a small thud.
"That's my boy!" He said with a proud face, my face all smiles and cheeks lightly flushed. I didn't know why.
"So what now? Cheering for your classmate drinking water ?" Miss Gloria asked us as we both froze in position, too stunned and too drunk to speak.
