Pain & suffering

Jake at times would often think he was adopted or taken from a wretched family background and would sneak out secretly at times to do tests and check his relationship with his family.

At times like that, the test always come out positive and always leaves him in a state of fatigue and shock.

Jake never really had the right to ask questions to his parents or any of his siblings or to talk to them without being spoken to. He would never even have the guts to talk back at them because if he ever did he will suffer a whole lot at time they would flog him on the tongue or mouth or even scorch his lips for just that. They really treated him as a peasant in his own home.

Despite all that, Jake turned out as a nice, caring kind boy which despite his sufferings loves his family so much and it was sad and painful for him to hear about their demise.
