THE DAY WE FIRST MET

Li Chang entered inside his car and looked through the mirror and saw Reel still standing there watching him.

"Go inside! Don't catch a cold," Li Chang said.

Still Reel stood there watching him.

"This girl! She still has not recovered yet and is watching me off standing in this cold," Li Chang said.

Suddenly Reo came out and made Reel walk inside. Li Chang looked through the mirror after putting on his seat belt and saw her walking inside with Reo. That scene hurt Li Chang. Li Chang didn't understand why that made him feel hurt.

Li Chang drove his car with a disturbed mind. He thought about the day the first time he met Reel.

*Flashback…*

10 years ago…

Li Chang was a college student who was working on the Realistic picture as a part time content editor. The company wasn't successful and the company was almost in crisis too. The company was handed over to another person.

That day Li Chang got his letter for dismissal from his office as they fired all of the part-timers because of the crisis. Li Chang was walking heart broken in the road holding the dismissal letter. Because that job was very important for him. Because from the money get from that part time job his life was going. He supports his poor family and studies because of his part time job and that was one of the heartbreaking news for him that he lost his job. Only the empty way was in front of him. The way which can't show the way to keep going. It's pretty hard for an ungraduated person to get a job.

One more shocking news was waiting for Li Chang at his house that day. His only family, his mother, passed away suddenly. He cursed that day. He ran out of the home crying.

People say it's hard to see a man cry. People represent men with an iron heart who don't shed tears easily. But unfortunately they are also the poor souls who can't hide the pain too. Li Chang burst into tears for the first time in his life.

Li Chang was walking on the street holding his mother's photo, tears were on with him at each step. Suddenly a piece of paper came flying and it stuck on his face. Li Chang was about to throw it but he just looked at what it was. He was surprised after reading it. One of the amazing creative stories he read. Li Chang became curious to find more about the story. Suddenly Li Chang noticed a few more papers were there. He picked each one and started to read and he continued picking up. Finally he reached in front of a little girl who was scattering the paper and throwing it sitting near the river side. That little girl was Reel.

"Hey! What are you doing?" Li Chang asked.

Reel just looked at him and didn't reply to him. She just continued scattering and throwing the book.

"Hey! Stop it! Do you know what you are doing? How could you do this? It's an amazing creation, how could you throw it away!" Li Chang asked by picking up the paper from the ground.

Reel started to laugh and said, "The people who need to see these creations are no longer in the world then what they need of it."

That sound made Li Chang hurt. Of course the people who need to see his creations are no more in the world too. He can understand her. But what was more surprising for him was what the little girl was saying like an older person. Li Chang got impressed by Reel.

Li Chang sat near her and said, "Yeah! It hurts. But you know what hurts more?"

Reel looked at him.

Li Chang looked towards the River and said, "The person who was supposed to be part of this creation is hurt more than us seeing us like this."

Reel suddenly stopped throwing. She sat silent.

Li Chang smiled at her and he took all the paper and he said give it to Reel, "Don't make your beloved person hurt."

Li Chang stood up and he slowly patted on Reel's head and walked. That was the first time Li Chang inspired Reel lots. She were run from home and no were to go. She just followed Li Chang from there. That was the day these two meet and become part of each other's life.

That day he lost his hope of life but from that day his new life began and he got the most precious thing of his life that is Reel.

*End of flashback*

Li Chang smiled thinking about the innocent look of Reel when he first met her.

"She was this little and a cute little mermaid. She grew up holding my hand," Li Chang remembered the past. But don't know Li Chang felt some insecurity about Reel. He didn't feel that before. He became disturbed too much. Something like something on his heart that wants to come out but it can't be. Li Chang is struggling with himself. He didn't go back home, instead he went to the bar because he wanted to bring his mind out.

"Heart out Bar" One of the less expensive bars in Beijing. It was the place where Li Chang had his first drink.

Li Chang sat on the chair and he ordered his usual Vodka.

Li Chang's phone buzzed and he looked at it. It's Zhen Mei again. He cut her phone in anger and also switched it off.

"Hey, Mr. Li!" Someone called.

Li Chang looked and said "Aunty Mary! Hello!"

Aunty Mary is the owner of the bar. She is a very friendly person. She knows almost all of her customers' names and she is very friendly with Li Chang because he is the one of his old customers who still keeps coming here even after getting rich too. Li Chang always comes here when he is down or happy.

"How come you alone? Where is your daughter?" Aunty Mary asked.

"Daughter! You mean Reel?" Li Chang asked.

"Yeah! That pretty girl who smiles bright, and calls you Daddy drama," Aunty Mary said.

Reel always accompanies Li Chang. It's his first time coming here alone without Reel.

"She didn't come?" Aunty Mary asked again.

"No!" Li Chang replied.

"Did you two fight?" Aunty Mary asked.

"Nope, she is busy," Li Chang replied.

"Busy! Oh! She got a boyfriend Right?" Aunty Mary asked.

"Hey, No," Li Chang replied.

"Oh! Come on, don't pretend. I can read it from your face. I can see how sad you are. Yeah, the world is like this. The people will leave you when they get another one. Don't worry, enjoy your drink, it won't leave you," Aunty Mary said and she walked.

"Sir! Your order," The serving boy said, putting the glass on the table.

Li Chang quickly drank it and said, "No! I won't allow anyone to steal Reel from me."
