Heartbreak

Meredith woke up on Monday with determination to see the new day and breathe anew with it, or something like that. She wanted to get out of her head but she found following her heart far more difficult and confusing.

So she had decided to follow the day and see where it led her. Her best friend had left early the previous day. After canceling her brunch date with her mother, Meredith had turned off her phone while she spent the day moping.

She turned her phone on as she went to run. She had several messages from Taylor. But none from Brayden and for some reason the fact that he didn't send her anything felt like she'd been stabbed.

She tried to ignore the feeling as she ran. Her breathing was off as she ran and she hadn't been running for long before she had a pain piercing her side. She felt it was just her luck that the day she was trying to live anew started with side cramps from running.
