Chapter 10

As Adrian stood surrounded by Assault Team Void, the tension in the air crackled with anticipation. His crimson-eyed gaze swept over each member, assessing their readiness. Gripping his katana tightly, he spoke a phrase with a calm determination.

"Shine upon the void, Tsukuyomi."

Instantly, Adrian's katana began to glow with a brilliant white light, transforming into a blade that radiated power. A white ribbon adorned the hilt, fluttering lightly in the tense air. The members of Assault Team Void tensed visibly, their unease palpable in the way they shifted their stances. They had faced Adrian's formidable abilities before, but this manifestation of Tsukuyomi was something new, something more ominous.

"Key piece of advice, don't let the sword cut you, or else you're not going to get that part of your soul back."

With those words, Adrian vanished with an audible sound of static, the air around him crackling with residual energy as he moved. He appeared in front of the leader, Tsukuyomi already mid-swing, his blade aimed at the leader's chest. The leader reacted with lightning speed, bringing up his own weapon to parry Adrian's strike. But it was in vain as Tsukuyomi cut through it effortlessly, slicing the leader across the chest. Using the momentum, Adrian cleaved the leader in two. The once-confident operative fell in two distinct halves, a stunned silence following the swift and decisive strike. Adrian stood unfazed, his crimson eyes glinting in the moonlight.

"One down."

Adrian's swift and decisive strike left the remaining members of Assault Team Void momentarily stunned. The leader's body fell to the ground in two separate halves, the shock of the unexpected attack freezing the air around them. The other members of Assault Team Void snapped out of their momentary paralysis and opened fire simultaneously, unleashing a barrage of bullets aimed at Adrian.

In response, Adrian's form blurred as he moved with incredible speed, effortlessly dodging the bullets and ignoring the time stop effect from D-124. Finding the time manipulation annoying, he targeted the agent wielding the D-124, closing the distance between them in the blink of an eye. With a swift motion, Adrian severed the head of the agent wielding D-124 before he could react, the agent's body falling to the ground while the gun clattered uselessly beside it.

The remaining members of Assault Team Void adjusted their tactics, spreading out to create a wider field of fire while trying to cover each other's vulnerabilities. Adrian remained a blur of motion, his Tsukuyomi slicing through the air as he countered their every move with precision and speed.

One by one, the members of Assault Team Void fell to Adrian's relentless onslaught. His katana danced with deadly grace, each strike finding its mark with lethal accuracy. The battlefield echoed with the clang of metal and the crack of gunfire, but Adrian seemed untouched by the chaos around him. His crimson eyes burned with intensity as he moved, a silent force of nature against the trained operatives of Assault Team Void.

Adrian turned his attention to Camile, his face neutral as he spoke a single word.

"Tsukuyomi."

The moment their eyes met, Camile collapsed to the ground, unconscious. A dark portal opened beneath her, swallowing her form before sealing shut. Without pause, Adrian swiftly turned towards the remaining guards and resumed his advance into the building. Inside, chaos ensued as Adrian's presence was felt with every step. His movements were swift and calculated, leaving a trail of dead guards in his wake.

As he approached the heart of the building, Adrian focused his senses, scanning for his target.

"Found you."

Adrian raised his leg and brought it down with force, shattering the reinforced steel and concrete floor as he descended into a bunker below. Debris flew in all directions as he landed gracefully amidst the chaos he had unleashed. The dimly lit bunker corridors branched off into different directions, armed guards scrambling to react to his sudden intrusion.

Adrian moved with a burst of speed, reappearing behind the guards and dispatching them swiftly with his katana. Silently, he continued until he reached a pair of large iron doors. With a single swing of Tsukuyomi, he cut cleanly through the doors and walked inside.

Inside, a man with black hair, green eyes, and brown skin stood before him, clad in a black suit reminiscent of Carla's attire from their earlier encounter at the park.

"You're not the man I'm looking for, but you will do. Hello, Camron Sigfred of Delta Command."
