Arina Versus Akuma Green

Earlier, Arina and Staria had successfully stopped the Demons with the use of Arina's Light Root which she used to tie them up but that wasn't all. It had a special ability too that drained the magic out of the Demons temporarily, leaving them in a state where they were harmless.

"What was that?" Staria pointed somewhere as the Light Caster finished up with the last soldier. She turned to see a bolt of lightning come down from the sky.

Arina felt chills go up her spine, "That kind of presence. Its tremendous but I sense a Caster too. Come on, they could be in trouble. We have to go help them."

"What?! Are you--"

"Look at what we've accomplished." Arina pointed at the knocked out and neutralized Demons hanging on the roots. Staria sighed.

"Fine..."

"I can do this. Just partially." Arina tapped into a dormant power locked up inside her body. It was the Pure Magic that had been stored in her since the Neon-Obsidian War where she had been pushed into a well of it. Now she was goint to use it to give herself an advantage over her superior opponent. Her hands up to her arms were now being swirled with white pure magic. Like she said, it wasn't the full form she had used when she was fighting the Queen of Seraphs but it was something. She got into a battle stance.

'She really thinks she can fight me.' Green thought the girl had lost her marbles. "Okay, you want to play!" A large thorn formed at the base of her wrist and the thorns on her nails disappeared. She was going to teach this Caster a lesson.

"Let's play!" Green ran towards her but Arina stood there fearlessly as if waiting for the right moment. Green threw a strike and then that's when it happened, Arina became untouchable.

'I love Intangibility.' She thought as she then became invisible and a half second after, She threw a punch that sent Green flying.

"Staria, stay with her! I got the Akuma!" Arina jumped off. The Mime Caster chuckled awkwardly.

"As if I could battle that thing away."

Arina quickly followed up and found Green in a small crater on the floor but she wasn't gonna stay there for long, her body having already gotten up.

"You got lucky with-"

"Ray Blast!" Arina didn't even let her finish, throwing out her attack. Green moved out of the way and then sent a blast of thorns in her direction. She became intangible once again, the attacks going through her. She then let out her wings and began to float in the air before pulling out another Spell.

"Light Casting: Sceptre of the Heavens!" But that wasn't all, she created two clones that had them as well. Blasts of magic were fired at the Akuma and she actually struggled to dodge them.

'How is this possible? Who is she?!' She was hit with a blast that destroyed a part of her shoulder. Her skin came together regenerating the destroyed part but unlike before, this took longer. Akuma Green ducked, avoiding another blast before sinking into the ground.

Unknown to Arina, it was the best idea for her to remain in the air as Green couldn't try any of her surprise sneak attacks. Large thorns reaching for the sky popped out from below the Light Caster and her clones and destroyed one of her clones.

"Sun Field!" The vicinity was now being covered by a large barrier bigger than any she had created before. A wave went through the ground and she could now tell where Green was in the ground below her. She struck out her arm, releasing a wave of Pure Magic that burst the ground open.

"How did she.." Green had a large hole in her gut that was taking even longer to regenerate. Before she could react, her opponent zoomed through the place until she was right in front of her. Green threw a strike with a thorn forming out of her wrist but the Light Caster grabbed it effortlessly and it disintegrated right in front of her eyes.

"Nope."

Arina grabbed a hold of her head, taking her by the horns in a literal sense. Her eyes glowed white, power flowing through then as she was using more and more of her Pure Magic Form and it spread into Green's body with the purpose of overloading her body with power to the point of combustion.

"No!!! No. No!!!!", Green mustered up the strength to create large thorn pillars from afar and sent them in their direction in order to kill the Caster. In response, Arina became partly intangible, her hands still solid and holding onto the horns. This lead to the Akuma being hit by her own attacks instead, almost killing herself in the process. She spit a mouthful of blood before trying a kick but it was met with her limb being destroyed by a close ranged Ray Blast. "AGGHHHKHRH!!!!!!"

She was in more than pain, she was in complete agony and it looked like the overwhelming magic being sent into her body was overriding her regeneration ability. "Damn that king!!! Damn him! DAMN HIM FOR SENDING ME TO MY OWN DOOM!!!" There was no hope left for her as the Light Caster wasn't even flinching, the Pure Magic had taken over part of her consciousness so she couldn't even hear her opponent's screaming.

It was now clear that Green's body was going to overload, her outer skin was burning up in a bright white color consuming the entirety of it. Her body temperature had skyrocketed, her organs were heating up.

"I'm sorry..." Arina regained a bit of consciousness to see her in pain, "But this is the end for you."

*Boom

An explosion so powerful created a blast of wind, uprooting some trees in the area and destroying a good part of the place which had already been damaged by their fighting. Arina had to go up into the air and became intangible to avoid the wave while still covering her face with her arms instinctively. The wave kept on for two minutes and even some clouds in the air parted because of it. Eventually, it stopped and Arina flew down.

She looked at where she had killed the Akuma and there was no remnant of her. Not even her Akuma Gem.

"Ah.." Arina exhaled, releasing her Pure Magic form which she had aptly named her Angel Form as she now felt it was safe. She looked around but fell on one knee. She got weakened every time she entered the form, she thought. "Wow, I wish I didn't have to destroy the beautiful nature of this place."

*Whiz

An arrow was sent through the air and in her direction. Arina moved back, the arrow leaving a slice on her cheek before releasing a surge of lightning from the ground. She turned around on alert to see who had attacked but she was never prepared to see who it was.

"Yuri!!!!!" He shot another arrow and before moving out of the way to dodge it, she saw for a short second that it was no ordinary arrow. In fact, she could feel it was imbued with powerful ice magic.

"What happened to him?" He looked different, for one he had a bow in his hand with a quiver on his back and his eyes were partly orange. He shot more and more arrows at her and she could tell that the Drach Weapon he was using was at Stage 12!

She formed the Light Board and dodged the arrows sent at her, countering some with her Ray Blast Spell.

"Yuri!! Can you hear me?" She tried to reach out to him as she felt this was some kind of mind control as his tail which he kept hidden was out. "This isn't you!!!" She shouted.
