George POV

I know I already suspected that Steve will be behind this but am beyond mad when the fake contractor confirmed that he is the one that paid him. But what baffles me is what he tends to gain from it cause I don't see him gaining anything out of this, only if he just wants to enjoy the fact that he is frustrating me through a stranger. Wait! No way! Is he doing all this to keep me busy so that I will not be able to hold the board meeting while he tries to work his way out of the mess he created in the company, this man must be a dimwit if he thinks that his plans will stop me from holding that meeting? I dialled my mother's line, and when she picked up her call I asked her to set up an emergency meeting tomorrow morning, she was surprised to hear that from me but after I explained my reason and what I learned about my uncle, she okayed my request.

I informed Sarah and Max about the board meeting that will be held tomorrow and also Aunty Rose so that her security team will be on standby in case my uncle decides to be smart tomorrow. The next day, I drove straight to my mother's company, Sarah and Max also drove straight to the company. I went to my mother's office first to confirm if the meeting is still held. Good morning Mum, are we still on today? I inquired her. Yes dear, we are, am sure that some of them are already in the meeting room wondering what this meeting is all about, My mother replied. Okay then, we should head there, I said to her. My mother and I make our way to the meeting room and we met Sarah and Max on the way. I saw my uncle coming from the other side, our eyes met and he was looking at me with a lot of questions running through his mind, I maintain my poker face. I don't want to give him an idea of what is going to happen cause the whole agenda for the emergency meeting is hidden.

Am sure some of them are thinking that maybe the company is facing challenges while someone like my uncle is wondering if he is the reason why the meeting was called or if the company is facing challenges like every other person is thinking. We all entered the meeting room and settled down, Sarah is looking a little bit lost cause this is her first time coming to the board meeting after the last time she helped to secure my mother's position. Today we also need to decide on whether my uncle will continue as the President of the company or will be forced to resign, and every member of the Board's input is needed. My mother cleared her throat to notify them that she is about to start the meeting, everyone attending is on her right now, so she started to talk. Am sure that every one of you is wondering why we are here and also an emergency meeting for that matter, she said while looking at them one after the other trying to understand their expression. My mother really should be an actress she likes a dramatic moment like this when everyone is curious to know what is going on.

Well, it has come to my notice that one of the board members is set to drive this company to bankruptcy, she said and leaned back so that the board members will start their murmuring. A lot of murmurs are being heard inside the room, only two people are not saying anything cause they have already been briefed about what is going on, and they are Sarah and Max. When the noise died down, my mother started talking again. When the report got tome about how money that is meant for the company is being used for personal interest and we are talking about millions of dollars here, My mother said. One of the members raised his hand to talk, everyone turn to him to hear what he has to say. Chairwoman, if there is anyone among us that embezzled the company funds for his or her interest, I think you should call the person out now cause whatever affects the company affect all of us here, it's not about Vincent's family but it is about the whole company, he finished with his speech. Others were nodding their head in agreement with what he said while one particular person look like he is about to faint any moment from now.

Am sure he is not expecting that I will carry out my threat so soon. Okay, that will not be a problem and I understand your sentiment and I promise that this particular person will not go scot-free irrespective of who he is, my mother said the last part starting at Steve intently. Well Mr Steve Vincent can you explain to your fellow board members why you decide to use the company's fund for your interest, my mother finally put Steve in a tight spot. Everybody present was surprised to hear that he is the culprit except Max and Sarah, all eyes are on him eagerly waiting to hear what his response will be. Steve has that furious look on his face, seems like the old bull is not ready to give up yet, he still has some fighting spirit left in him. That is so ridiculous, I accept that I used the company's funds but it's not for personal use, Steve tried to defend himself. Then care to explain to us what you used it for? Another member of the board asked him and I can see them trying not to lash out at him cause they are still respecting the fact that he is one of the Vincents but am sure that the respect will fly out of the window at any moment from now.

My son is missing and he is part of this board, I don't see how it is my interest when am just trying to find one of us that go missing, Steve started looking from one man to another but none of them is giving him the reaction he is expecting. I decided not to say anything cause I want others to be the ones to condemn him. Me Steve, your reason doesn't make any sense at all and if my memory serves me right your son left on his own not went missing after he sold his shares and by selling his shares that automatically severed his ties with this company, so he is not one of us, one of the members who is a woman and also the Vice President told him. I agreed with the vice president cause your son told me when I met him for the shares, that he want to be a man of his own that's why he wants to sell his shares so that he can use the money to start afresh, so what am trying to say is that your son is not missing rather he left on his own will, and if you are using the company funds it is not for the company but your personal use, Sarah spoke for the first time and I find her damn sexy at this moment.

Everybody agreed with her, at that moment if Steve's eyes were to be a gun am sure that Sarah is already in her pool of blood. According to the rules guiding this company, anybody find guilty of such a crime will be stripped of his or her position, irrespective of the position the person held and the company will make sure that the culprit will pay the money he or she embezzled to the last dime, my mother read out Steve's punishment. Everyone seems to agree with her nobody objected to her, even those that are close to Steve, who all supported the punishment. Steve is beyond mad at the moment, his whole face is red. You can't do this to me, I have been in this company from the time it was started till now and this is what I get in return after all I did to get this company to where it is now, he said desperately searching even if it's one supporter but everyone kept quiet. Well using the company's money for your interest doesn't seem to me like what someone that has the best interest of the company at heart will do, Max said to him. I looked at him and smiled at how the mighty have fallen, this looks to me like Judgement day.

From scheming to kick my mother out of her position to being kicked out himself. Well, Steve before you will be escorted out of this room, I will like to inform you that one of your accounts has been frozen by the company we will use the money in it as a payment for the money you took from the company, My mother informed him. Steve rushed to grab my mother but was held back by the security inside the room, I rushed to her side immediately. Thank God I asked Aunty Rose for her security team. Please take this man out of this room, make sure he is nowhere around the company and as for his properties we will sort it out, I instructed the security. They dragged him out while he kept on throwing threats at us, how this will not be the last we will hear from him.
