Chapter One Hundred and Three

Sarah POV

My mother barged in my room as usual looking at us suspiciously, am glad that we already disentangle ourselves before she barged in if not I will have to answer several questions the moment my boss will leave. Hope I did not interrupt anything? My mother asked,I wonder what she mean by that and what exactly is she expecting to interrupt. No Mum you did not interrupt anything I answered her in a sarcastic tone.

She ignored my tone and turned to my boss, Thank you George for coming to see my daughter while she is sick. It's hard to see bosses that care about their employees to the extent of visiting them when they are sick my mother said giving my boss that grateful smile while she turned to me and gave me that mischievous smile. There is no need for work to thank me,your daughter is one of my best employee so I have to look out for her My boss told my mother. Okay if you say so,I will leave you two to be my mother said in a tone that indicate that she is not satisfied with what she heard.

I managed to swallow the soup that my boss brought for me,am already full but I don't want him to see his effort as a waste. Whilegulping down the soup I could not bring myself to look him in the eyes cause am not sure what I will see there and what my reaction will be if I see the emotion am expecting. Mmmm boss don't you have anything important to do in the office? I asked him cause I want to break the awkward silence between us after my mother left.

There is nothing much for me to do at the office, that's why I decided to come and see you cause I thought you are all alone but if you don't like my visit I can leave,that won't be a problem my boss said. My heart is now beating abnormally by what he just uttered, if only he knew how his visit made me so happy he will not uttered what he just uttered. Only if he knew that his visit assured me that what others are insinuating about the possibility of him liking me is true. No am okay with your visit I don't have any problem with it at all,I assured him.

He stayed for some minutes chatting with me before he got a call that needed his presence at the office. He tried to explain the reason why he need to leave,I assured him that I understand perfectly well. He left looking so moody like a child his favorite candy was taken away from him. Five minutes after my boss left my mother barged into my room, am not surprise to see her here cause I know her curious self will not rest until she get what she want. Mum I don't think I need anything now all I need now is rest,adequate rest I told her pretending not to have any idea of why she is here.
