George POV
Mr Davidson really is out to destroy my mother because she did not accept to dance to the tune of his and his daughter. I called Sarah and asked her to be ready on Thursday cause she have an important role to play that day. I called our other supporters to make sure they are still with us and luckily they are. I and Aunty Rose finished sorting out the documents needed on Thursday when my phone chimed indicating a message. I unlocked my phone to know who sent the message and it turned out to be Claire. I thought she and her father want to destroy my mother why is she sending this kind of message to me.

This woman have no atom of affection on her,no wonder her ex cheated on her. I quickly called Aunty Rose and instructed her not to allow Claire inside my office. I know Aunty Rose is the only one that can handle Claire madness successfully. As expected when Claire arrived at the company Aunty Rose refused her entrance to my office, she was very mad at what is happening. She called my line severally but I ignored all her calls. She stormed out of the company after she promised Aunty Rose that she will be the first to got fired the moment Vin company and Davidson empire will merged as one. I must confessed that crazy lady and her father are so delusional.
Third Person POV
Steve Vincent have called all his allies and ask them to get their documents of their support ready on Thursday but the only person he is yet to get in contact with is his son Victor. He have tried everything possible but the guy is of reach but he is not bothered, he just have to ask Victor assistant to get those documents for him,cause he know where his boss keeps all his documents. Steve can't wait for Thursday to arrive so that he can ascend his throne.
The long awaited Thursday finally arrived, a notification came into Mrs Vincent and George phone one hour to the meeting informing them about the emergency meeting. Thank God for Lana brilliant idea of tapping Steve office if not they will be caught unawares. The meeting room was filled up to the brim,after everyone settled down. Mrs Vincent arrived last accompanied by her son and Mr Vincent former Secretary Rose. Mrs Vincent sat down and looked around the room faking surprise at the number of people that are present i in the room. I got a notification that there is an emergency meeting but with the number of board members here I guess this is more than just an emergency meeting, Mrs Vincent stated.
So Why are we here? Mrs Vincent asked feigning ignorance of what is happening. Steve was the one that stood up and talked,Mrs Vincent I mean chairman, he addressed her in mocking tone but Mrs Vincent decided to wave it away cause she is sure that she will have the last laugh. Well we are here to dismiss you as the chairman of this company, Steve continued with the smile he is trying to control but failed badly at it. Mrs Vincent scrunched her face pretending to be in deep thought. Mmm and on what ground are you calling for my dismissal? Mrs Vincent asked. Well from the information I got as from you are not the highest shareholder anymore cause Mr Davidson withdrew his support shares to you,Steve explained arrogantly.
The M.C of today meeting asked Mr Davidson to confirmed if what Steve Vincent said is true. Mr Davidson is it true that you withdrew your support shares to Mrs Vincent? He asked him. Yes I officially Withdrew it on Tuesday,Mr Davidson confirmed. There was absolute silence after Mr Davidson confirmation. Since Mr Davidson here confirmed his withdrawal, this board are asking Mrs Vincent to stepped down as the chairman while we look for the next chairman through the normal process of this company, The M.C announced.
As per how it was before there will be two tables here,one for Mrs Vincent and the other for Steve Vincent. The person that will turn out to be the person with the highest shares support will be the chairman, the M.C said. After the M.C finished with his announcement two tables were presented before them and they were given the go signal to start the vote. Steve was so worried now cause from his sister in-law expression, she seemed so unbothered about what is going on. That alone kept him on his toes cause whenever she have that expressionless face she have a surprise coming. The worst part is that his son is not here and also not reachable and his assistant he contacted is not here with his documents yet.
After the votes were casted it turned out that Mrs Vincent and Steve Vincent votes are the same vote counts. Mr Davidson and Steve were very surprised when the result was announced. Mr Davidson is already sweating because he just realized that Mrs Vincent really outsmarted him this time,she is no longer the naive woman he came to her aid in the past. Steve stood up and begged them not to conclude the result yet that his son shares is not here yet and his son's assistant is on his way to bring the documents. They accepted his plea and decided to wait for some more minutes before giving their final verdict, at that moment the door opened and a lady walked in.
When George saw who entered he smirked and mumbled, damn she sure know how to give a grand entrance. Sorry am late I was held up in the traffic,I got a message that there will be board meeting today,she said. Most of the men in there are mesmerized by the beauty standing before them and her killer smile. George want to poke their eyes out for staring at Sarah lustfully,Steve on the other was confused cause he don't have any idea who the lady is and she is nowhere his son assistant cause the lady scream rich. Steve decided to ask the lady who he is,Young lady who are you? He asked. The lady gave her charming smile and start to introduce herself, My name is Sarah Croft am the newest board member, she said.
If a pin dropped you will be able to hear it cause the room is so silent like a graveyard. George is really enjoying what is going on right now while Mrs Vincent is cheering for Sarah in her mind. What do you mean by the newest board member? The M. C asked cause he seemed to be the only one who was able to snapped out of his shock. One month ago Mr Victor Vincent sold his shares to me,so from now on am the one that owns Victor shares,Sarah said and handed the documents to the M.C to check the authenticity.
The M.C checked the documents and passed it round the table,when it get to Steve turn his hands were trembling cause he is so shocked out of his mind,he can't believe that his son could do this without informing him. Mr Davidson saw the documents and know that it is game over for him,not only did he lose the fight but he also lost a good ally in the person of Mrs Vincent. After the documents have go round the table,the M.C addressed Sarah. Miss Croft the reason why we are gather her in this room because we want to vote for who will be the company chairman and your vote is the last vote and whoever you vote for will be the chairman,the M.C explained.
Okay that means I have to vote right now? Sarah asked. Yes Miss Croft you have to vote now, the M.C answered. Mr Davidson already given up hope on the fact that the vote will favour them cause he can clearly see that this whole scenario that is playing out before them have been well planned by Mrs Vincent. Steve on the other hand is still hoping on the possibility that before Victor sold his shares to the lady that he was able to get her to support him when the time comes. When Sarah casted her votes and it was announced that Mrs Vincent retained her position as the chairman of the company, Steve was devastated he can't believe that all his effort were in vain.
Steve can't believe that he lost to his sister in-law the second time,if he had the idea that his son sold his shares a month ago. He will not buy the idea that Mr Davidson brought to him cause this second humiliation he is facing from his sister in-law is so unbearable to him. Steve asked his assistant to search for that son of his cause he want to know the reason why he sold his shares and what he was thinking without telling him his plan.
