My Better Half (she's mine)

Kol locked eyes with her over his wine glass, she was as pretty as sin. He wanted her, he wanted to take her right there. He could barely remember the last time he felt this strongly about any woman. What surprised him most was the fact that he didn't just want her body, he wanted her heart too. But that won't be too difficult to get because since the first time she saw him, he's been able to make her heart flutter and her knees go weak. She wanted him this much even if she barely knew him. They were created for each other. They've got ties and nothing could pull them apart. This was her belief. This is a story of love between two people who were always meant to be together. But sadly, the surrounding misfortunes aimed at separating them pictures the opposite - that they were never meant to be. Warning: this novel has mature contents. Reader's discretion advised.

Let's Forget All These Ever Happened

"boss, it has not been concluded yet. You know better than to take any action" David said to Kol in panic.

After detailed investigation, it was discovered that the organisation actually responsible for the murder attempted on Kol's life was none other than a group known as Shadow Knight. Kol was enraged but he had no other option but to stay calm.

"I want to be alone, you may take your leave" Kol said coldly and immediately David walked out of his office as he knew his boss was in a bad mood.

Now, this organisation known as Shadow Knight is one of the most dangerous organisations in the whole of the United States. And the part that got him worried was the fact that they operated mainly in Chicago. When and how did he offend them, that is if he did?

His expression was so cold as he stared at the screen of the computer. All the arrows were pointing at Shadow Knight. The only clue not yet gotten to complete the entire puzzle was the reason why they had ordered his assassination. What the hell did he do to them? he couldn't help but wonder.

He sat on the chair in his office and threw his head backwards tapping the chair with his fingers. Now his life has grown extra complicated. Amy who he once used to see as his sister just confessed to having feelings for him. What was he supposed to do about it? He had started to develop feelings for Rebecca but how would she take it if he confessed his feelings towards her because he might have to do that sooner or later?

And the culprits he had been looking for have now been found. Is going after them a wrong or right move? Will his life and Tiffany's be at stake? Were they the ones responsible for his parents death? Will Rebecca accept him seeing all these complications?

He had too many questions left unanswered and his brain was definitely smoking hot. He needed to calm down. He should probably visit McClain Entertainment. Catching a glimpse of Rebecca's beautiful face could just make him feel better, he thought.

Rebecca was done with work for the day and her assistant had left already, so she went towards her car so she could drive home. But just as she was about to pull the door handle she caught sight of a very familiar figure standing not far away from her.

'will this guy ever give me some peace?' she thought to herself.

"what do you want?" she asked with a calm tone betraying no emotion. She looked at him from head to toe briefly and she realised that he looked a lot better than he was last time he came to see her. 'good for him' she thought.

"do you really despise seeing me that much that you can't even stand the sight of me?" Raymond asked with a bitter tone drawing closer to her.

He had realised what a jewel he missed all because of his stupidity and he wasn't ready to let her go just yet. He was ready to do anything she would ask as long as they would be back together.

"I've not got time for this. I've got to go" she said with so much indifference in her tone, turning to open the driver's side of the car.

"wait..." Raymond called out hurriedly stretching his arm out.

"I want you to come back. Let's forget all this ever happened" he said inching towards her a bit.

"what part of 'it's over between us' don't you get? You cheated on me and you've still got the boldness to come see me spewing nonsense?" she asked with anger evident in her tone.

Raymond grabbed her wrist as he pushed her so that she was leaning on her car. He was so close to her that she could perceive a faint smell of alcohol. She was disgusted and so she looked away so as not to meet his gaze.

"look at me" he said pinching her chin and forcing her head to face him. "Raymond, you're hurting me. I could sue you for physical assault" Rebecca said wincing in pain as her chin ached badly.

Raymond only tightened his hold on it. She tried to use her other arm to push him away but he was just too strong for her. Raymond gave a sinister smile and said "you will do no such thing"

"tell me the truth and don't you dare lie to me. You don't want to make up with me, not because I cheated but because you've started seeing another man" he said again accusingly with jealousy evident in his tone.

Rebecca laughed lightly at his childishness. "you were the one who cheated and you've got the nerves to accuse me?" she said biting her lips in anger.

"dare you say it to my face Rebecca that you don't love me, and that you don't feel anything for me" he said still staring at her.

He hadn't set his eyes on her physically for months and coming back, he admitted that he screwed up by cheating on her. He stared at her petite face and her lips attracted him. he wanted to kiss her hard but at the same time, he didn't want to hurt her.

"I don't feel anything for you Raymond so stop all this childishness and just let me go, let me leave in peace" she said and immediately Raymond tightened his hold on her chin even harder.

She whimpered in pain, that place should be sore by now.

"I will never let you go. It's not over between us yet" Raymond said emotionlessly as he aimed to capture her lips forcefully.

"let me go Raymond, you're hurting me" she cried out in pain pushing him away with all her might. She had never seen Raymond act this way, he was such a beast. She couldn't help but accept the fact that she was scared of him already. She would do everything within her power to stay far away from this man in the future.

"let her go" a voice suddenly echoed across the parking lot.
