My Better Half (she's mine)

Kol locked eyes with her over his wine glass, she was as pretty as sin. He wanted her, he wanted to take her right there. He could barely remember the last time he felt this strongly about any woman. What surprised him most was the fact that he didn't just want her body, he wanted her heart too. But that won't be too difficult to get because since the first time she saw him, he's been able to make her heart flutter and her knees go weak. She wanted him this much even if she barely knew him. They were created for each other. They've got ties and nothing could pull them apart. This was her belief. This is a story of love between two people who were always meant to be together. But sadly, the surrounding misfortunes aimed at separating them pictures the opposite - that they were never meant to be. Warning: this novel has mature contents. Reader's discretion advised.

Does Your Heart Belong To Another?

"let her go" a voice suddenly echoed across the parking lot. It was filled with so much authority that he let her go immediately. He turned to catch a glimpse of the man who just came to save Rebecca.

Rebecca was surprised to see him. She didn't expect that he would come to the company that day. She blushed in embarrassment as she looked at him.

He came right on time to save her from this monster.

"Mr McClain..." she called weakly. Kol strode towards her. He thought coming to McClain Entertainment and catching a glimpse of her beautiful face would make him feel better. But having to watch this scene made him feel a lot worse.

His expression was so cold that Raymond could admit that he felt scared for a moment.

"are you okay?" he asked taking a look at her without touching her. He didn't want her to get angry or think he was too forward.

"I'm fine thank you" she said with an embarrassed smile adjusting her slightly rumpled dress.

"who are you? And what right do you have to meddle in my business?" Raymond asked rudely.

"and what right do you have to lay your hands on her?" Kol replied immediately turning to face him with his eyes burning with rage.

"she's my business and so I can do whatever I want" he replied giving Kol a sinister smile.

"well you're wrong, because she's my business" Kol replied as well. He had come to the company and handled a few issues but when he didn't see her, he thought she had left for home so he prepared to leave. But on his way to the parking lot, he overheard the conversation that ensued between the both of them. And so he knew they were not a couple.

Rebecca stared at him a bit surprised that he will defend her in that manner. She felt a little warm inside.

'you're really lucky that I'm patient with you today' Kol thought

Raymond gave a bitter laugh as he faced Rebecca. Kol held her arm in a protective manner so as to avoid Raymond hurting her.

"he's your boyfriend right? he's the reason you didn't want to make up with me?" Raymond asked with a bitter smile

"I owe you no explanation" Rebecca replied shortly in annoyance. Raymond only sciffed.

"you're f****** him right?" Raymond asked bitterly. Rebecca was so vexed that she gave him a slap across his face. She couldn't believe that he couldn't even respect her even in the presence of someone else.

"I never knew you were this shameless. I'm really disappointed" Rebecca said in anger and embarrassment. Raymond was angry as well and so made to retaliate and that was the last straw that broke the camel's back.

Ko blocked his hand immediately to prevent him from hitting her. He immediately caught Raymond off guard by giving him a punch across the nose.

Raymond fell on his knees immediately. It hurts so much that you couldn't help but hold it. And all of a sudden, two hefty men came to his side and yanked him up making him stand properly.

"make sure he can't use that hand of his to bully anyone again" Kol ordered to his bodyguards and at once, they knew what he meant.

"let go of me! Do you know who I am?" Raymond yelled in pain as he was forcefully dragged away.

Kol turned to look at the woman beside him. he felt so much pain inside watching her get hurt. He couldn't help but hold her chin gently to examine it. She made a whimpering sound as soon as his hand touched her chin.

"you're hurt. I should take you bring you to the hospital" he said with his facial expression filled with worry.

"I'm okay. Don't bother, it's not so much. I'll apply some first aid once I get home" she said giving him a smile.

"are you sure?" Kol asked not yet convinced as he saw the fresh marks on her milky rosy face. He clenched his fists

'that bastard must pay for this!' he thought

"I'm sorry if I embarrassed you. Thank you so much for defending me Mr McClain" she said with a smile.

"call me Kol" he said to her.

"alright then, I better get going" she said with a smile.

"oh yeah! see you tomorrow" he said to her. She smiled inwardly as she got into her car. How could she forget they were supposed to have lunch together tomorrow. She wouldn't miss that for anything.

* * *

Kol just arrived home when he received a call. He picked up the phone and placed it on his ear as he walked into the house.

" all done boss" he heard from the other end of the phone.

" God job" he responded hanging up almost immediately

Getting into the living room, he was surprised to see Amy and Tiffany chatting happily. He wasn't expecting Amy to pay a visit anytime soon, not after what transpired between them last night. And besides, they hardly come to the sitting room whenever they're together. Why were they here today? he asked himself.

"hey! you're back" Tiffany exclaimed in excitement as she went forward to give him a hug. He hugged her back though slightly then they disengaged.

"Kol..." Amy called weakly not sure of what to say to him afraid of sounding awkward.

Tiffany who was in the middle of the both of them moved aside.

"I'll leave you two first" Tiffany said and went up the stairs immediately. She did that so they could have the room to speak to each other.

As soon as she left, Kol's expression became less warmer. She stared at him not knowing what to say to him to begin a conversation. Kol looked a little tired though still very handsome and appealing to the eyes. She couldn't refrain from admiring his body in that short moment of silence.

"are you done staring? Because if you are, I better get going" Kol said bringing her back to reality.

" I... I'm sorry" she stuttered.

"I just didn't want you to misunderstand me. I really love you" she said inching closer to him.

"don't come any closer. Look Amy, I don't know what else to say to you. How do I make it easier for you to come to terms with this?" he asked her rubbing the nape of his neck.

"Kol I'm not forcing you to love me. I'm not forcing you to date me either. I'm just asking for a chance to show you how much I really love you. Just give me a chance to be beside you" she begged with so much emotion in her eyes.

Kol was tired as he didn't know how best to express himself, because it seemed that she wasn't going to understand him whichever way he tried. He just turned and started walking towards the staircase, he was headed for his room as he needed to take a rest.

"or does your heart belong to another?" Amy asked from behind him making him halt in his steps
