A streak of the morning light pierced through the small opening in the window shades, bathing the room in a soft, somber glow. The tranquillity was interrupted by a gentle stir from the large bed nestled against the wall. Lü Bu's androgynous figure gleamed against the first rays of the sun, pushed himself up against the silk sheets.
His eyes, sharp and alert despite the early hour, flickered to the empty side of the bed. A pained sigh escaped his lips as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Looks like she's still mad at me," he muttered, his voice barely a whisper against the quiet of the room.
Lü Bu, despite the emptiness in the room, did not falter. Rising from the bed, he began his morning routine, reciting the body strengthening mantra, letting the spiritual Qi wash over him. His toned muscles tensed and relaxed in an almost hypnotic rhythm as the energy coursed through him.
His routine was interrupted, however, as he felt something in this room as he moved towards the door.
