Chapter 17 Fire demon and Aftermath

Gildarts was having the time of his life, for some while now his daughter was angry at someone else other than him and that brought the biggest smile that he had in a while

But the fact that she was angry at a boy and the reasons that caused her to be angry is also pissing off Gildarts.

He was thankful to the boy in many was and he can say that if not for the kid he would have lost the only woman he ever loved and his daughter

But still the image of his daughter getting close to him brought a bit of rage inside him

"I'll smash him a bit without killing him I guess" Gildarts muttered

"What did you say?" Cana suddenly turned around

"Nothing-g just thinking about killing the demon" Gildarts stuttered

"Hmmm" Cana narrowed her eyes but after a few seconds turned around and started walking again

'Damn it almost got caught' Gildarts thought while sweating

After some time, they both reached the factory where the flame demon was present

Alright Cana you go deal with the worshippers and daddy will deal with the demon okay

"Alright Dad "Cana said and started running

Huh she's growing up huh, Gildarts thought a bit sadly

Then he shaked his head while he started running towards the demon

When he reached, he found that the demon was just standing there while emitting a lot of magic pressure with a lot of heat but nothing that a bit of his magic can't handle

Gildarts is without a doubt one of the strongest in the guild currently he was sure that he was just after the master when it comes to combat ability. But Gildarts knew that he was not that talented the only way he became strong was because he focused on only one magic and in that magic type only one move

Normally a mage when learning a type magic learns the magic slowly and after reaching a new milestone changes the form of magic to make it more stronger

But ever since he was young Gildarts knew that he will not become strong if he follows the way of others because his talent is a lot less when compared to the average wizard

So the only way he saw was to focus on a simple concept of his magic crush, he took the basic attack move and practiced that attack alone with his body , it took him decades but at the end of it he was able to use crush magic from any part of his body with strength no one was able to match

Gildarts started walking towards the demon without stopping with strong steps , his body honed with the single move crush began to emit the crush magic instinctly to cut the fire magic around him

The demon noticed his presence and his instincts which has told him not to cower before anyone other than his creator and kin began to emit warning bells inside of him

For the first time ever his instincts began to warn him about a man whose species he considered completely inferior to his own

Wait this feeling , it- it is not warning me to be careful but it is warning me to run

How shameful

Overcome by rage for the first time because of feeling fear it began to run madly towards Gildarts

Gildarts looking at the raging demon coming towards him just had a wide smile in his face

After some time....

Cana had just dealt with all the wizards dealing with the ritual in the factory , she also made sure to burn the factory as she felt that it is something Karna would have done

Wait , am i mimicking him now Cana thought in a flustered manner with a red face

No Cana don't get overboard from what Mavis and Mom said i should be conservative and make him make the first move only then will i really get him

If Karna had heard about this he would have had a conversation with his adopted big sister ghost that acted like a child to be pampered

Cana began running towards where her father was

When she reached there she found him sitting on top of a small mountain looking closer she found out that the mountain is formed of cubes.

"done already " she asked

"yeah lets go find that idiot kid"

The incidents after the killing of the demons were hefty as hell . Ultear was crying a lot seeing the condition of her mother

Gray looked a little lost at first but after some time it looked like he had a big weight lifted off his shoulders

Lyon was not able to accept the fact that Ultear lost a lot while defeating the demon while Gildarts had not that much wounds . He then began to say something about Deliora being stronger and went missing the next day

Ur was worried for him but he never left a clue about where he went.

I am pretty sure that we will meet him again after a few years with him trying to free Deliora .But since Ultear is home now i guess there will be a lot of changes .

Almost all of us other than Ur were free of any kind of injuries and Gildarts only had a few burns that looked like it will heal in few days.

Looking at the wounds that Ur had i told them that there might be a chance to heal them if she comes to meet Porlyosika and it seems like the idea attracted Ultear and she begged her mother to come with us and get healed.

This was not at all an elaborate scheme by me to bring Ur , Gray and Ultear as a package to the Guild.

And Cana seems to be looking at me with a narrowed eyes.

I wonder what was up with it.

A/N- sorry it took another day and there is no double chapter.i am not planning on leaving this work without completing it but there will be an irregular pattern in chapter publishing due to me being a student with school work

I will try my best to write one chapter with a min of thousand words a day
