Ch. 153 Jason

" So, who are these guys?" Atalanta asked as she looked down on the scared Jason.

I threw Hercules onto the floor.

* Thud *

" Apparently, the new rising heroes I just spoke about." I said as I looked down at Jason.

" Is that so?" Atalanta said as she looked over Hercules and focused her attention on me.

" What?" I asked Atalanta.

" Put on some clothes." She said as she kept staring at me.

" No. " I responded.

Atalanta gave me a blank stare.

Atalanta held up her dagger.

* Swoosh *

And the next second, I already had my upper robe on.

Atalanta just nodded and ignored that I slowed time for a second.

Looking back to Jason, who seemed shocked that Hercules was defeated.

" H.. How did you defeat Hercules!?? "

I just shrugged.

" I'm just better." I said as I crouched down next to Jaso and stared into his eyes.

Jason flinched as he crawled back only to be stopped by the wall.

" The only way for you to pass that runic barrier should be because of that goddess. So before I could kill you, why are you here?" I asked.

" Uh..Uh...right! I could help you with....with....with" Jason eyes darted around the room.

Atalanta narrowed her eyes at him.

It was then Jason's eyes lit up.

" The golden fleece!! I could give you the golden fleece if you could help me take back my rightful throne after we get the golden fleece!" Jason shouted.

" Your rightful throne? so you're a former prince." I spoke.

" RIGHT!! So you should marvel at my..ack!" Before he could finish, I grabbed his throat.

" I'll help you, and I'll get this golden fleece you spoke about. But don't you ever start acting like an arrogant little shit."

Jason nodded as he had a nervous smile.

" Do you even know what's a golden fleece?" Atalanta spoke behind me.

" Nope." I responded as I stood up.

" Then why did you agree?" She asked me.

I shrugged.

" Another adventure." I responded as i walked towards the other room, and Atlanta followed after me.

I reached down under the bed and put a seal under it.

I got up and headed towards the kitchen and living room.

" Why do you want to go on an adventure? I'm sure it's not because of being a hero or a quest. And I'm sure it's not because of the golden fleece." Atalanta said as she followed me.

Jason watched on as he tried to wake up Hercules.

" Sigh, it's because I want to look for someone." I spoke as I put a seal under the rug in the living room.

" Sigh. Caenis, correct?" Atalanta spoke.

" Yes. I can't really rest knowing that Aristos' lover is possibly in danger, and besides. She needs to know what happened to him." I said as he turned to Atalanta after putting the seal in the kitchen.

" Sigh. Alright, I'll help." Atalanta said as she crossed her arms.

" Are you sure? you seemed tired from the journey we had." I asked.

" It's fine. Besides, I can't really leave you alone." She smiled.

" Thank you, truly." I smiled back.

" A..Ahem!" Jason interrupted our moment.

" Can we spend the night here?" He asked.

We both looked at him and looked back at each other.

" I think we should just kill him." Atalanta spoke as Jason flinched as he hid behind Hercules' unconscious body.

" Eh, if he gets too annoying, then we can." I said as Atalanta nodded.

Jasons' body shook.

I just chuckled as I glanced at Jason.

" Alright, you can sleep here..."

Jasons eyes lit up.

" On the floor." I finished.

" What!!!??" He exclaimed.

" How can someone like I...." He didn't finish as Atalanta held her dagger up to his throat.

" You're sleeping on the floor." She spoke as she looked down on him.

" R.. right!" Jason replied fearfully.

" Sigh, let's just get some rest. The sun should be setting down." I said as I walked into the kitchen to prepare dinner.

Atalanta nodded and just sat on a chair by the table while keeping an eye on Jason and Hercules.

* The next day. *

" Hey, wake up." I said as I kicked Jason up.

" Ack!" Jason exclaimed as he held his back.

" Your friend is already up, and here you are sleeping like a baby. Was the floor that comfortable?" I said as I looked at Jason, who was starting to get up.

" Sigh, here I'll take the blankets, just go outside with your friend," I said as I picked up the blankets that Jason was struggling to grab.

Jason had an arrogant smile as he walked before I tripped him.

* Thud *

" Ack!" Jason screamed as he fell on his face.

I just gave a smile before walking off with the blankets.

* A few minutes later. *

As I walked outside the cabin, I turned on the field barrier, but this time, it was a lot stronger than before.

" Alright Jason, where should we go now?" I asked Jason.

Jason put his hands on his hips.

" Of course, we need to call more heroes across Greece." He spoke as he spread his arms.

" Uh huh." I replied as I started walking with Atlanta following me.

" Hey, where are you going?" Jason asked.

" Of we're gonna announce our journey to other heroes. I'm sure we need a grand place to do so, so where gonna head towards the capital." I said as Jason and Hercules followed.

" Right! my thoughts exactly!!" He shouted proudly.

Me and Atalanta shared a look before looking at him and back to walking on the road.

" Sigh. I'm already regretting this." Atalanta spoke.

" Eh, just put up with it." I said.

We traveled towards the capital to look for new heroes to join in our journey.
