"In simple terms, they're just terrorists who need to be dealt with."
"Oh! Indeed, concise and clear, as expected of a scholar."
"As expected of Saitama-sensei's friend."
The armored gorilla's remarks seemed pointless to Saitama, and Roy couldn't summarize them for him.
'What's with these people!' The armored gorilla was bewildered. 'They dare to label Dr. Genus's work as terrorist activity without understanding his greatness!'
"But once we understand their nature, their motives become quite simple to deduce." Roy looked at Saitama. "It's quite obvious that Dr. Genus is very interested in your body, Saitama-san."
"But I'm not interested in men."
"I believe Roy-san meant something else."
Chuckling, Roy continued, "He probably thinks that since you defeated the mosquito monster with just one punch, there might be some information in your body that aligns with his research."
"In that case, we can't just ignore it." Genos said. "Sensei, you saw what happened with the mosquito monster. He must be up to something more dangerous and needs to be stopped. Let's take the initiative this time!"
"Alright, let's go."
Saitama looked serious.
With such a swift agreement, Genos was taken aback. "N-Now?"
"Because tomorrow is supermarket sale day."
Watching Saitama's carefree figure, Roy wondered if he should tell him that today was actually sale day.
'Oh well, stopping villains is more important. I think Saitama would agree. Besides, I've already bought everything.'
Hanging the purchased ingredients on his drone, Roy had it take the items home and place them in the refrigerator's cooler.
'Although Saitama is here, it doesn't matter whether I go or not. But I might as well go and see. I'm quite interested in Dr. Genus's research.'
While Yumemi Okazaki was into physics, Dr. Genus was into biology.
Although Roy mainly used nanomachines for utilizing Dark Matter at the moment, Dark Matter themselves belonged to biological characteristics. Understanding them with professional knowledge might enhance the understanding of abilities.
The headquarters of the House of Evolution was quite far from the area where Roy lived.
Considering Genos's running speed, it might take over four hours to get there with full speed.
"So, let's set off quickly." Genos said.
Roy pressed the nearby streetlight.
With a transformation and light effects, a black-painted Boeing AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter appeared in place.
Genos stared in astonishment.
"Wow... so cool." Saitama exclaimed.
"The prototype is AH-64, but it's been modified in various ways... Anyway, let's get on the helicopter."
"Really awesome." Saitama climbed aboard, marveling.
"Remember to wear the noise-canceling headphones over there. Although I don't think Saitama-san will be affected much, it can still be uncomfortable if it's too noisy."
"Ah, okay." Saitama didn't understand, but still put them on.
AH-64 was a two-seater, and squeezing in three people would be uncomfortable. But for Roy, it was no problem to expand another seat.
"Well then, let's go."
Of course, Roy had never learned how to fly a helicopter.
But that wasn't a problem.
If he couldn't pilot it himself, he'd just let the helicopter do it.
Although there were manual controls in the cockpit, it was equipped with an automatic piloting system and an artificial intelligence program... though not a strong artificial intelligence, it was specialized for operating armed helicopters.
After putting on the noise-canceling headphones, they set off.
How should he put it?
In a world where superhumans abound, using armored vehicles, fighter jets, armed helicopters, and warships... all symbols of military might in reality... would be instantly taken down to showcase someone else's power.
There was a risk of your helicopter being shot down as soon as it took off.
Roy learned from experience... though he hadn't actually experienced such a situation, it was better to be safe than sorry. So, he packed quite a few peculiar pieces of high-tech gear. Things like forced wave armor, corrosive missiles, and ultra-small anti-gravity cannons, although none of them had been tested.
One advantage of flying over traveling on land was that flight disregarded terrain.
It's well known that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. So, they flew directly from the outskirts of Z City to the base of the House of Evolution at an altitude of about two kilometers, at the fastest speed.
One hour later.
In a more remote suburban area. All you could see were towering mountains and rugged terrain, a desolate place. Probably because it was far from civilization, most people up to no good chose to establish their base here.
"There it is."
In this deep forest, a rectangular building stood conspicuously, impossible to miss.
"I wonder if he wants to hide or if he's telling everyone he's right here."
After this sarcastic remark, Roy didn't waste any time and launched a missile. A corrosive missile whizzed out, not producing smoke or explosions, but instead releasing a rather sci-fi spherical black field that tore everything within its range to shreds with formidable gravity.
What's even more astonishing is that this gravitational force didn't leak out. Although it looked like just a black sphere, it was actually a multi-stage explosion structure.
"Wow, is this science? That's amazing." Saitama exclaimed, leaning on the glass. Although he could cause more destruction with just one punch, it didn't stop him from being interested in new things.
After speaking, Saitama turned to Roy again. "But isn't this a bit sudden? You just blew things up without warning, that's too cruel."
"It was just a decoration, and the life detector showed no one inside... If anything, there were quite a few traps. Anyway, it's better to destroy it directly." Roy turned to the two behind him. "The real base should be underground. Saitama-san, Genos, it's time to go down. Remember to adjust your landing posture."
"Huh?"
Since there was no suitable terrain for landing, Roy simply disassembled the helicopter in midair and reassembled part of it into six white wings.
Being so rough was actually a sign of trust in Saitama and Genos's abilities.
This height shouldn't be a problem for them.
Not to mention, as Roy descended slowly, the helicopter disappeared, and Saitama and Genos were momentarily stunned, but quickly reacted. The two of them effortlessly landed on the ground hundreds of meters below.
But Saitama still had some complaints about it, protesting, "It's very dangerous!"
"Alright, alright, I'll treat you to a meal later. Anyway, let's get this done first." Roy reassured Saitama, knowing that treating someone to a meal was a great way to calm them down, and Saitama immediately brightened up.
"But is that really the entrance?"
It was a standard basement entrance. But not only had the door been blown off, but even the ground had been blown off a layer, leaving everything below exposed for all to see, making the passage clear.
"Let's go down and take a look..." Roy retracted the white wings.
Actually, in this situation, he could simply deploy a small-power Continental Shelf Oscillator to end it, but that would contradict his purpose for coming here.
