Is She A Greek?

Flamme was surprised by this unexpected greeting, from all the things she expected this isn't one of them. But then again that's what makes it exciting because it's unpredictable.

Although, there's something she wanted to ask about this merchant, possibly a nobility from his prior words, but before she could answer, her apprentice beat her to it and asked.

"What do you mean 'can buy everything you want with the right price'?" Frieren said as she stood beside her.

The merchant smiled at her, or possibly for the both of them. "I meant in literal sense, as there's nothing you can't buy in this place, if you have enough you can certainly have it."

"Oh, that's certainly a bold claim." Flamme crosses both of her arms into her chest.

"It is but I speak the truth. Now, why don't you sit down and calm down first, also do you want any drinks in particular? It's in the house." The merchant said.

Flamme wasn't too sure what to think of this man, as there's too many things she doesn't know about him, and if you think about it this scenario is a bit too suspicious.

However, she did go inside the door even if it's suspicious, that's why she'll give this man a benefit of doubt.

"Then, do you have tea?"

"Of course, what about you Ms. Elf?" The merchant asked her disciple.

"Milk." Her disciple replied.

The man then stared at Frieren from the head to her chest and smiled. "Of course, you need milk after all you need it to grow up."

Frieren who doesn't understand the meaning beneath those words, could only nod.

While Flamme snorted at the comment.

"Well then, I'll be back shortly and please make yourself comfortable." After that he left.

"Frieren, what do you think of that man?"

"He's powerful." Frieren bluntly stated.

"Of course, I know that as well. What I mean is, what's your impression of that man aside from him being powerful?"

"A mysterious human man." Her disciple replied plainly.

Flamme let out a sigh. "That's it? Quite a plain impression of that man."

Frieren tilted her head. "That's it, I don't know him enough maybe after a few hundred years or so I might change my impression of him."

"You elf are really…" Flamme shook her head forgetting about what her disciple just said.

Either way, her impression of that man is different from her disciple.

When she sees him she can't deny that he's very handsome, she isn't afraid to admit that she liked what she saw, nor the fact that he's her type, if only he's a bit older.

He's too young for her taste, but regardless she's still attracted to his appearance.

Very few could match him in that aspect, aside from his looks, he gives a certain 'vibes' like other merchants do.

The charisma of a smooth talker, she has encountered many of his kind but none of them was as handsome or powerful as him.

There's also the fact that he's a noble by birth, it wasn't hard to figure it out. He wasn't even trying to hide it either from his presence and gait alone, he's a blue blood.

Noble by birth, however it's a bit weird for a noble to work as a merchant, but not really unheard of but weird regardless.

It didn't take long for the noble merchant to arrive with their drinks, she could already smell the aroma in the air.

The man in question appeared with a wooden tray in his hand, and then served the tea and the milk on the table.

"I hope you like it."

Nodding, Flamme looks at the tea beneath her and silently casted a spell to see if it's poison or a curse; one can never be too careful.

It's how she got to live this long, since she's cautious and isn't stupid, just because the man looks accommodating and welcoming, who knows beneath that facade is a monster.

After checking that there isn't anything weird in the tea, only then she took a sip and eyes widened in surprise. "What kind of tea is this? I never tasted this kind of blend or flavor."

The man answered. "It's cinnamon."

"Never heard of it."

The merchant shrugged, anyway it wasn't important at the moment as right now, she's more curious about this place. "What is this place..? I don't think even the nobles have these things…around this place..they look.."

"Futuristic?" The man replied as if knowing her next word and he was right.

"Indeed, because I don't think we are in our anymore." This wasn't just some random words, it is a well thought one.

From the beginning she was observing everything she could possibly see in this place and most of the things here are simply way too advanced compared to the things her era has.

"Master..?" Her apprentice spoke.

To which she replied by shaking her head and looking back at the owner of this establishment.

He smiled at her observation. "You are correct, this isn't your world but a realm far away from your universe. But aside from that I haven't properly introduced myself, no? My name is Alexander Barthomeloi, what about you girls?"

Flamme was right once again with her observation, as only nobles or royalty have a family name and others who don't are commoners.

"Flamme, and this elf is Frieren, my apprentice." Flamme introduced herself and Frieren to the merchant.

"It's nice to meet the two of you, now I don't know how you stumbled upon this place as the gate randomly appears everywhere across the multiverse, it must be fate or something. Regardless of the truth, you are in my establishment and I will treat you as my guest and a potential customer, thus I vow that as long as you're in my shop there won't be anything that would harm you." Alexander looks at them, especially at her who realized that he noticed her caution at the very beginning.

Letting out a chuckle, Flamme decided to trust the man's words for now and asked. "So…do you really sell everything or it's just an empty boast?"

Alexander smiled at her, a smile that was neither arrogant or filled with confidence.

Just the smile of someone who knew that they'd be winning this.

"Why don't you find out..?"

And she did find out later on.

"Everything really is on sale here…" Flamme started at the digital screen in front of her in astonishment.

There's no words to describe her awe at the moment, even her apprentice who was usually stoic was breaking her character simply because of what she witnessed in front of her.

She saw a weapon that could single handedly wipe off every demon in existence.

An item that could revolutionize their world.

And a spell that could wipe out countries with a single use.

Not even mentioning that so-called wish granter, that was capable of doing as wishing and only the user's imagination is the restriction.

Everything here could change their world, but there's one glaring factor.

There's so many things she wanted to buy, however she simply doesn't have enough money to buy anything noteworthy.

With a measly 100 M.C, she couldn't truly buy those overpowered spells in the shop.

Then suddenly an idea appeared in her head and said, "Wait, instead of directly buying a spell, why don't I just buy its grimoire and learn from scratch? Wouldn't it be cheaper too?"

As soon as she had the idea, she tried to search for the exact grimoire of the spell and it was written in their world's general language.

And true enough, the spell was truly cheaper as grimoire, like the spell cost 10,000 now, it's measly 100.

Enough for her to buy, she almost bought it immediately, however she stopped herself as there's plenty more spells that are better than this one.

Besides, she could always come back for this one next time and with the help of her disciple, they managed to buy 3 grimoires that they are satisfied with.

"I suppose you're done buying what you want?" Alexander smiled at her.

Flamme nodded and replied. "We did."

"Good, then about the claim I previously made, what do you think? Am I just boasting now or what?" His eyes twinkled in a playful manner.

Flamme wanted to snort at this reaction, but in the end she let him have it. "Alright, you're right your shop does have everything on sale."

Her comment made him smile a bit, but that changed when she added. "So, what? Now that you win in our little bet, what do you want from me? If you want to have sex with me, that's totally fine."

That made him pause a bit and stared at her incredulously. "Is that joke or…?"

"No, not at all."

The man didn't know what to say at the moment and eventually replied. "I don't know if the people of your world are open to such a thing or if it's just you, but as for your 'offer' maybe in the future but for now, I'd like to refuse as it's not really the time to have sex."

Flamme shrugged and answered. "If you're up to it, just tell me."

Frieren who was in the middle of this couldn't decide what to do, she was simply at loss at the topic.

"Oh right, before you leave here."

Alexander gave her a bronze card of sorts and explained. "This card could open a door to my shop once a week so, if you ever feel like coming back, use it."

Flamme nodded in understanding. "Well then, I'll be right back."

After that she and her apprentice left the shop leaving the owner on his own.

I stared at the door where the strange woman and her disciple elf just left the shop.

"Is that woman Greek perhaps? I mean, she does look the part and act like it, a passively horny woman who is up for sex…"

It's probably better to forget about it for now.

Probably..
