Living in Candberra

Celia slowly sipped her coffee while sitting on her bedroom's balcony. She has been living at Candberra, the capital city of Country C, for a year after cutting her family ties with the Beckers.

Remembering her past life filled with hellish torture and sorrows of cry, she vowed to love this second life in happiness and live for herself.

"Young miss, your meal is ready."

Anna, her loyal maid, came in with a tray. She put the tray on the table as Celia watched the pain behind her eyes. Celia remembered how Anna sacrificed her life to escape to freedom only to be caught days later. Her violent death broke Celia's heart as she saw the once was cheerful girl, now her corpse hangs on the tree as a warning.

Celia smiled and took a piece of toast before eating it. The warm and morning aroma brought a smile to Celia's frozen and neutral face. Anna was delighted as she beamed in happiness. For Anna, the happiness of her mistress is also her happiness.

Celia's phone rang at the corner, and Anna retrieved it for her. Valeiry's name flashing on the screen made Celia roll her eyes with a smile.

"What can I do for you, the young lady of Cadrel?"

"Oh, skip the formality. Marie just called me your package has arrived. She wants to know if you'll be picking it up or you want it to be delivered at your store."

"I'll pick it up. I have some stuff that I will be buying at the mall anyway."

"Alright, I'll let her know then. See you later in the evening!"

Celia nodded and hung up.

"Anna, have a date with Alex tonight. I won't be home, so feel free to… you know."

Celia teased. Anna blushed at the mention of her boyfriend.

"Miss! Were not doing that sort of thing!"

"Eh? In any case, have protection, and maybe don't 'exercise' too much."

Celia said with a cheeky smile while grabbing her coat and bag off from the couch. Leaving the house, all the staff stood greeted her in unison.

"Have a safe trip, young miss!"

Celia nodded and entered the car as Kevin softly closed the door and got in the driver's seat. Slowly driving out of her residence, Kevin professionally merged into the busy road. Kevin became her driver after taking him and his mother to her house.

Kevin was a top professional car racer, but he was schemed against his competitor, losing participation in the race. Losing the job he loves made him depressed, but he signed up to work odd jobs to support his sickly mother. They were doing well until his father came barging in their house demanding money.

Kevin's father was a gambler and alcoholic. It took a while for his mother to divorce him, but the debt collector thought that they were living together, so after a long day of work, he saw his mother heavily crying and his father standing with a smile as he counted the money, in the back was their ruined house.

Filled with anger, he punched his father and immediately called the debt collector. After knowing the truth, the debt collector immediately apologized and gave them the money for destroying their items before chasing his father again. Losing all hope, he led his mother to look for a house but was denied because they looked like they could not afford the monthly payment.

It was not until he met Celia, who was stalked and saved her from the hoodlums. In return for saving her, Celia told the mother and son to work for her for payment. Celia stated that she would provide for their shelter and food, and they gladly accepted the offer with tears of Joy. Now, Kevin is living happily than ever. He wouldn't know where to go if he hadn't met his master, Celia.

Arriving at the mall entrance, Kevin got out of the driver as the girls swooned for his looks. Walking to the back of the car, he opened the door as a beautiful and elegant woman stepped out. Dressed in casual clothes didn't hide her noble aura. Her soft and fragile look made the men drop their jaws in shock, but her cold air made them hesitant to come near.

"Thank you, Kevin. I won't be coming back to the store, so come back here with Robert and take the materials back to the store."

"Yes, miss."

"Oh! I'll be with the girls tonight so have fun with your mother. Take her out to the mall or a restaurant."

"Thank you, miss, and I will do that then since my mother hasn't been to the mall in a while."

"Alright, have fun with her then."

Kevin slightly bowed his head as Celia went to the mall. Seeing her inside the building, Kevin got in the car and left as he followed the instructions of his master.
